You got a song stuck in my head. Five Finger Death Punch.."Wash it all Away" lol Also..I have found gold in the places you wouldn't think it should be...for instance..there is a fast water line and a slow water line...look on outside turns for the fast water line..I have found massive dropouts of fines in AZ in outside line gravel deposits..Thanks

I know your not a fan of using a bait pump but down in those crevices where the big rocks that have blocked up your pump previously can't get to is absolutely perfect for a bait pump, I'm certain you'll be leaving gold behind just using a little hand shovel to clean them out, I'd be bait pumping those spot 100%
@MishaBoylan2 ай бұрын
When I get down to the bedrock, I usually snipe! But pump would work to!
@aussiegoldtrolls2 ай бұрын
@MishaBoylan bait pump all the loose stuff out you'll get every fine bit in the gravels not just the big stuff you can see, then once it's clear of the loose stuff then get in there and snipe the bottom, maximise your rewards for effort

use a wider bottom pan more volume less angle pump the pan no angle when it poofs pull the pan out from under takes about 1/2 sec do it 5/6 times or 86/10 sec for a full pan view gravity panning watch my hand movement you could have used black tub to run that material time 10/15 sec

Misha... 1.36 grams is very nice for 1 day's "Hard Fun" on the river. Better yet....you have a girlfriend that's willing to hike in/out with you, deal with deer flies, a few dicey trail spots, wobbly cobbles, slippery rocks, blackberries, poison oak and all the rest. :) I know your hike well. Done it dozens of time over the years. Glad to see ya using gloves under water. Don't forget the knee pads. :) Randy

use a mortar tray cant imagine you moving les than 1 a minute classified and panned 3 /10 shovels per trey average 60 + per hr you moved 3 buckets try 60per hr till you get to 100 _ per hr im 80 meet up on the kern teach you in 1/2 hrs 1,000 plus flakes per hr in river been panned 1850 flipped 1,000 s of times sluice 17 00s till now
@hikingca41542 ай бұрын
You’re losing gold each time you do a clean out. What you are supposed to do is stand the sluice mat vertically and wash water from top to bottom so all the material goes into the bucket or tub.
@MishaBoylan2 ай бұрын
Ah ok. I've done alot of tests and 99% of the time there isn't gold past the first 3 holes. So I always make sure to get those in first. I've never found gold past the rest of the sluice. I only got it as a rookie mistake because it was the biggest one at the time
@hikingca41542 ай бұрын
@@MishaBoylan try to do a video of just only cleaning out the last half of your sluice, double check to see if there is gold. The gold can take more time to loosen from the dirt.
