I would look up rivers with gold in Oklahoma. And see if there are claims or state parks. But alot of times state parks have rules

No 49er ever used a sluice long toms rockers panning modern sluices are slow you need to go mining
@douglasbrown47752 күн бұрын
How much time to set up get flow rite classify sluice clean out pan 30min or more ? That's 30 plus buckets done 100 bucket challenge about 2 hrs or 30+ times the material hence Gold about 1ounce
@douglasbrown47752 күн бұрын
If your running a gram per 3or so 60 should run about 20x more also you will keep 30/40% more Gold when you use your sluice use tray to run tailings find out how much your losing
@douglasbrown47752 күн бұрын
Use the black tray your using 2/3shovels in put under water roll out rocks shake down to cons 15/20sec pan the cons 6/10sec do it 60+ x per hr
@douglasbrown47752 күн бұрын
Good to see a wider body pan now less angle more forward motion with a flick of the wrist very lite will make Gold fall out 6/8sec pans
@prestongriffin4162 күн бұрын
dont break up bed rock the next time you look for gold guess what you broke up bed the rock it goes some where else down streem good luck

Yes, it is faster!... And that's the problem! Retention is the goal., to get the paydirt time to sink and stay. The cumulative holding power of these few traps is doubtful to me. Here's a test: get an oz of the smallest lead shot you can find, say, snakeshot, flatten it, paint it bright color, count it, mix it into paydirt, run it, and see how many and how far it moves down the sluice. If you catch 95o/o of em in the top half ill be surprised and say i was wrong

Well, it depends on where you're going, but the one I use is the Hercules half gallon. Once it's full, it fits perfectly in a pan! Also, perfectly for hiking in!

That's a "trime". Very small and amazing. I found one in my backyard after detecting it a dozen times or more. The signal was not something I would've dug anywhere else. Oldest coin I ever found. 1854.

Get yourself a set of softeners for those straps. They will keep your straps from getting cut up on sharp edges.

Misha... VERY cool Half Dime find by Mike!! Like mentioned below...be SURE and advise Mike NOT to try and do ANY cleaning of the coin...such as scrubbing, polishing, brushing, dipping, anything! "Cleaned" coins lose a LOT of value and are tainted for life. Very natural and desirable for old silver coins to have natural "patina". :) What's the year (obverse) and mint mark....if any on the back (reverse)?? In September I was sniping on a club claim in Downieville below the Durgan Bridge on bedrock and besides a LOT of lead (no gold) I found a very cool old Chinese copper coin from the Gold Rush days with a square hole in the middle and a little of the markings readable on both sides. Not worth anything but a VERY cool relic of days gone past! Cheers. Randy C0017A :)

@MishaBoylan maybe I should watch the whole video before I comment. "Jet" brand makes a small chain come along. 3/4 ton. They are small enough for a backpack. They aren't the best brand though... Harrington is better. Don't use a ratchet strap. They are dangerous if you try to cut them loose under a load. The nylon strap is good though. Just remember, knots weaken rope. And slings. I rig for a living. Be safe, can't wait to see a huge nug for you
