I was pretty young when I was watching Ed Sullivan and I heard this cat say "Don't hate the black, don't hate the white, if you get bit just hate the bite" then this amazing music that would influence my drumming for the rest of my life. I'm so sorry Cynthia is gone, but so happy you two had that time together. 2008 and still funking amazing. Thank you Sly, you don't know just how much you helped me.

There's nothing simple about this music, exceptional maybe, but never simple. Sly is such a humble man, an incredible human being!

I love Sly Stone and obviously I hate to see him suffering. I applaud his family for not abandoning him. I hope he knows that there are people out here who care for him and respect his talents, the whole family and their talents

Yeah, Sly is a genius. His band arrangements and performances were tight. His songs and music were way ahead of their time, and laid the ground work for a lot of groups, including Earth, Wind, and Fire.

The neat thing is. Here Sly , not only has sisters, brothers, and cousins...but also his children and grand children in the band....and on and on....taught by the best!

Great bass line with a great sound. The band is great - all of them. He still has his unique voice and the funk of course. Never saw that many keyboards on a stage. Japan, you're a great audience. The man deserves so much respect. He is the greatest songwriter of all times,IMO

How cool is that? To hear Cynthia sing her part! I got shivers, the best of the best and the baddest of the bad.

Sly is the first of his kind! Without him,the next level of funk, soul and rock would not be in effect! Prince would not be the kind of Prince he wanted to be!! Sly Stone! Genius

God Bless Sly and his crew in that,,,,he was of the Funk, and brought the Funk and laid it on our table with the Glory of Funk, and though many were called to herald and put forth the Funk very few were chosen, hence Sly was blessed with the Funk ,chosen and brought forward for all of us and thats why that Funky Funky feeling prevailed,,,,
