We call it "monkey in the middle". It's how we always train. If one is serious about the street then one must train as close to reality as possible. I learned this in the military. The goal is to rehears real situations so one becomes more accustom to them and not shut down under the stress, and build the proper muscle memory reactions. It's comical to me to watch all these dudes claiming to be "pressure testing" their art when they have no clue. You're one of the few I see doing any kind of real "pressure testing". And let just add I haven't come across any BJJ guys doing anything close to real.
