Is so good to see a person doing good Aikido. In the internet you see everytime Akikai (dance) and very rarely some "MARTIAL" Aikido like Tenshin, Iwama Ryu or Yokoshin. Keep up the good work and slowly restore Akido reputation.

As an outsider looking in I now realize this particular martial art definitely requires real intelligence. There are numerious techniques to master along with countless variations. Kudos to everyone at Rogue Warrior.

What I really like about your vids, you go over and over and over into so much detail, love it, love it! Never met anyone that was as passionate about Aikido in the proper and realistic way you teach it. Can't wait for the next one, Lenny. Learning so much so fast, it's challenging, but also amazing.

Hey Sly, put the link to the new website in the description box of every video. It's much more likely people will go to the website if all they have to do is one click... Thank you for what you do.

Awesome video as usual bro. I had a suggestion. Why don't you write a book/Manual on all of your years of training and techniques? Experience's you had as a bouncer using practical applications of Aikido. I think it would be a great hit. Hell bro, I would buy it, read it and learn from it.

I love your lessons on Aikido. Your practical use of this art is great! The traditional version is fine if thats what you care to do, but its not of use in everyday situations. Why waste your time with the original? I just wish I was much younger to learn this dynamic art form/self defense. 👍😁
@norrisgilham6304 Жыл бұрын
Aikido flow On his channel had Doubts Of using jujinage, In real life Situations, But here that looked Very effective I Can Say, Just depends on the individuals Understanding of knowledge, And years of experience, Every individual Trains their art & style differently, Maybe one coach, Doesn't have a good Understanding On how to apply a certain technique, when maybe another one does, Every teacher expresses their own twist into it, Not even Every coach trains Jujitsu the same And even Judo & karate, When you go round and Check out other gyms,They Pretty much all teach The Same basics, But depending on The class or gym your going to if it's for competition or self defense, They teach them slightly differently, On wherever one your You go to, Or Who's Evers your instructor?.

Thanks for the video Sly Sensei. I was able to notice Uke was off balance from the first lock applied following the choke. Would you recommend taking Uke straight to the ground from there, and then applying another lock or pin when Uke is on the ground?
@shanman33857 жыл бұрын
Is it also possible to get out a firm two hand choke by grabbing the thumbs after applying atemi/gut punch or is that too much or too intricate a technique?. Would a woman be able to get at thumbs to break a choke?.
@shanman33857 жыл бұрын
The Jujinage technique was awesome was just curious about the other approach with the thumbs and if it is practical.
@SLYSCOMBATIVECONCEPTS137 жыл бұрын
shannon crockett YES it is. but it's really all about the thumb lock and how viciously you can apply it.

Separately, at 7:30 timestamp, you've got the throw already. His posture is gone. If you need to drop him a little lower first so be it but you've essentially completed a body-fold at that point. No aiki-guruma necessary.

Rogue Warriors rocks. I know your a busy guy but maybe in your next video, we could discuss iriminage. I'm not a very powerful guy. I find myself relying on techniques more than yawaza. Are there any exercises that you recommend, that will increase the power of your iriminage.

The hold is basically an arm-bar and a bicep crusher at the same time. That's two different armlock submissions at once. Why even throw, if you don't want to?
