I tried it with your guide and still couldn't pull it off. thats not said your guides are bad. you have by far the best way of explaining things in a simple and effective way. its just that I am too stupid for those pulls. I will stick with stockades. 60G per hour is still enough for my epic mount :)

Great video man! I tend to use the Nova - FS - COC - CS - Nova - COC on every run unless I use it when I get more than 2 resists off the initial nova. Seems to keep it super consistent.

There's a few things you could change to make it better, more efficient, and a tad safer. I use rank 1 cone of cold on specific packs to keep them off of me and keep my ice barrier up more, also rank 1 fire blast more. When you are running toward the stairs, about to arcane explosion the last 2 packs in the bottom, toss on a new ice barrier so you don't lose so much mana doing the last loop. The mobs shouldn't kill you coming out of block and then you have a full ice barrier after nova. I usually have enough left before the block that I take very little dmg coming out anyway. Also, it would be good to tell them about swing timers, targeting a melee add while in block and coming out of block between swings. Always rank 1 blizzard before max rank. Rank 1 doesn't break nova and it allows all the mobs to get slowed. I rank 1 and let 1 tic go off for low then immediately max rank. One other thing that will help is moving further away from the mobs after nova. I only have to move like once during the blizzard phase and it allows me to put more dmg out.

1. Very risky going back to the staircase - if you misstime blink, youre dead. Also you have low mana if you spam mana shields like that. You can just block in the end of the dungeon instead of running back towards the mobs. 2. After blinking in killphase - dont frost nova instantly like showcased. Wait for them to group up (walk closer to you) while blizzard slowed. You can even arcane explosion 1 time extra for that important damage needed he talks about. 3. When you come out of block: Nova (while walking) - coldsnap + nova again. This way you never have runners, resist or need to sheep AND you have ice barrier up again for safety. Hope that helped people :)

No great advice. Running back to the stair case area to block is the best spot to do it. It is the most consistent with having the mobs reach you in your block before you have to come out. Also, if you cold snap and re-nova, you are a sitting duck if anything else goes wrong in the kill. More times than not its a bad idea.

Depends, I found armory is a bit harder and more inconsistent for me. But I know the RNG in SM Cath can be much worse compared to arm...both have pros and cons!

Great stuff, i tried yesterday and i died like 25 times, cause i have 2 problems basically. 1) When i use the ice block i'm at 20% mana every single time, i have like 70+ Fire resistance, but i never fill the mana with the talents, idk why. 2) I think the problem is being a gnome, idk if being a gnome you run slower, but you got hit in the way too many times that destroys your mana shield. Gonna try it again, thanks.

2:00 that's not true, there are many reset points on the walls, you can agro as much as you want before you pull and just reset by hopping to the slopes.

Nah that's false. You are already hit capped on these mobs. Every mob has a 1% chance to miss no matter what you do.

I cant seem to get this SM pulls working, the problem is every time 2-3 mobs get resisted ice nova and that fucks everything up.

make sure you haven't backed up too much as the frost nova goes out, you might be missing some mobs in the back. If you get too many resists, run out and reset. No shame in resist problems, happens to everyone

is nothing wierd on your pull mate. first blizzard shoud be rank 1 so wont brake the nova and still apply chill efect. thats the reason in 7:00 min you have them so much spread. cuz your first blizzard brake some npc earlyer from nova. thanks

I suggest that you should NOT iceblock at the position this dude shows here. it is way safer to iceblock in the corner before the position where he is blinking.Why? because A) there is no reason to risk getting hit before blinking there (and it can happen, especially if you are a beginner and your pathing isn't perfect) and B) because you will have the firemages need to run into range, which will cost you mana. If your gear isn't very mana heavy, like rocking a lot of T1 and T2 pieces, then you might not have enough mana to cast your blizzards and shatter combo if the mages dont cast without interruption and C) his positioning has a shorter route for the mobs to reach you, it is better to block in the position I explained here, because you can use the full diagonal path, leading your way down to the corner on the opposite site where you also have a safer blink positioning, because you blink into open space. and D) blocking and jumping after it can cause melee leeway to instantly kill you, also never let mobs surround you when you are in block, always leave a path open, you will take way less hits. My experience is over 2k runs, of which the last 500 are including bosses into the pull.

This is 100% the best spot to block, above the staircase, however, I would block in the center, not by the side, that way the mobs aren't in front of you. There's plenty of space when doing it this way. I had many experiences while learning this, trying to block where you are saying and mobs wouldn't make it to me in time for my block/nova. If you are out of mana by this point, you need to work on the actual pull. This guy does a few things wrong though, he doesn't use his ice barrier enough and relies on mana shield too much. I always pull where I take the least damage and utilize rank 1 cone more than him and rank 1 fire blast more to get a bigger lead on the mobs. I also renew ice barrier right before I nova the last pack running to the stairs that way I'm not losing mana, and it's off CD when I come out of block.

why not just tag the mobs with max rank Arcane exp while pulling so there half hp when you get them into a nova. Using a normal mana pot is cheaper then the invulnerability effect... Just a thought
