Nobody in the company knew that they debuted, not even the staff nor TVXQ or Super Junior etc. And the solo stuff of EXO got as much promoted as from everyone else. EXO-Ls were just spoiled from SM in the beginning, while the other groups neve were promoted that much. And the older a group gets the less promotion they get. Honestly, just get used to it. All the other SM group had this treatment pretty much since debut
