Yeeeeees this iconic song! What's crazy is that even though SM Entertainment is filled with insanely good vocalists, no one has ever dared to cover this song since it came out way back in 2010. That's how legendary this song is. And yes, Jonghyun legit popped off on this one and went crazy with his adlibs.

SM The Ballad is an SM project group which consists of SM's best vocalists. There are more artists who are part of this project -- because SM is full of crazy amazing vocalists -- but for their "Hot Times" MV it included Jonghyun who is the main vocalist from SHINee, who was the one that you were really impressed with his high notes; Kyuhyun who is one of the main vocalist of Super Junior; Jay who is the main vocalist of Trax which was SM's rock/EDM band; and Jino who was an SM trainee at the time, but left the company, became a vocal coach and now is the main vocalist of the Kpop group Pentagon. This song was produced by Yoo Young Jin who is a very famous SM singer, composer and producer who has been the vocal coach for basically all of SM's idols. You have actually probably even heard D.O. from EXO and Yoo Young Jin singing together if you have ever heard the album version of EXO's/D.O.'s "Tell Me What is Love." And if you have watched Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry Answer" MV, then you have heard Yoo Young Jin do the ad libs and background vocals in that song as well. As a producer, Yoo Young Jin is often the one that creates the most iconic moments in SM's songs and performances.
