Okay, if someone's still wondering why the run starts with Course 5, it's done cause of it being the only World you can go to without completing the intro with the piranhas, which disappears after collecting the first star... Going Into C5 first basically Skips the piranhas which saves a bit of time...

very nice. 2 questions: what controller do you use? / what's the best controller for speedruns? and can you explain how to do that wall/kick-jump?

I use a regular XBox 360 controller, which is surprisingly optimal for sm64 hacks. As for that wall/kick-jump, I would need to know what you mean by that to answer that question, lol. Maybe if you can specify a timestamp where I do it, I can explain? :)

+Frame Perfection 54:18 to get up that hill. another thing I would like to know is how to do that bug- backward- longjump (48:10). I'm able to do that long jump backward but I don't get it how to do that bug.

At 54:18 I do a slope-kicks, which are performed by holding the A button before landing and then pressing B to kick. As for Backwards Longjumping, that's a science in itself. Bottom line is you do a lot of longjumps in extremely quick succession and your speed will grow exponentially, since the longjump mechanic is multiplying your speed. However it is capped in the positive direction, so you can only gain immense speeds by going backwards.

It's a custom overlay that I built myself in C#. It's also geared towards my stream specifically so I guess one can't just get that.

What is SoB and PB and why is SoB way longer than PB

What you're seeing here are comparisons to two runs: PB (Personal Best) compares my current run to my best finished run up to that point, whereas SoB (Sum of Best) compares to a hypothetical run, composed of each individual best recorded split combined. This means that the SoB run will have far better times than my PB since at the very least the individual split time on a split is equal to that of my PB or better (usually better) and in comparison I am further behind since I obviously can't always play my absolute best. I use the SoB comparison as an indicator as to how much time I've actually lost up to a certain point, rather than comparing to PB, which would have it's on share of mistakes and timelosses so I wouldn't really directly see the room for improvement.
