Ian, these are actually very good ideas. My Nextdoor neighbors have a two story house and even though I have a large fig tree in my yard, it doesn’t provide enough privacy year round. I actually love your ideas and I will talk to my husband to see about utilize these ideas in our back yard so we can have more privacy. Thank you for sharing your ideas my friend. 👏🏾👏🏾💙💙💙‼️‼️

Thanks for the IDEAS! I live in an HOA community where my super small backyard reminds me of the hot tub scene you showed (people peering out windows). Every time I venture outback I feel somebody's watching me - but not this year . . . thx for the motivation!

Same lol love my house and my little yard but hate that the houses behind me are 2 stories as well and can see me. Definitely putting a gazebo with curtains this year and a nice seating area for some privacy when I hang out outside

Great ideas and lovely designs. We have a one story house where just this year developers built two story homes despite our request to match our roof lines. Now I need privacy solutions. Have called many fence builders in my area and sadly none are creative only build wood or chain fences for property line definition. I am interested to find someone to help build a bamboo privacy fence. Are you folks available in Northern California?

Love all these ideas! Privacy is #1 to me, I’d have a 10ft fence if it was allowed 😂 My struggle is I’m in a new subdivision and I have a semi-detached house. I’m not concerned with the neighbour attached to me because the fence will solve that but the house behind me isn’t built yet so I don’t know what the sight lines will be. If it’s a bungalow, no problem, but if it’s a 2 storey I might have to rethink things. It wouldn’t be so bad if there were trees or something but in a new subdivision there are no trees so it’s just eyes from every direction lol

Some other considerations w living screens like vine: are you able to maintain the hedge/ vine? Vermin. They love vine. Especially fruit bearing vine like grape. Or any fruit bearing trees or hedge. I really love all of these ideas ! I need some badly too, since my neighbor built a huge two story behind my pool. These are tiny lots , too. That neighbor who was a jerk, sold and a very nice family moved in. They travel quite a lot, however they don’t want to see middle aged woman in her pool at night, any more than I want to be seen.🤣🤣

Thank you for your videos. They are all amazing! I am seeking for some other ideas with my space that will be affordable. I have a pool cage that I would like to expand to the side of my house. Would you be able to provide some ideas for under a pool cage? I was looking to have a small outdoor kitchen/bar and table with umbrella or fire pit idea. Love watching your videos for the ideas I have a question about privacy trees. I am considering green giant arborvitae I am interested in those types of trees because they keep the foliage year-round and I want to run them around the edges on the inside of my fence to create privacy from neighbors on three sides I live in a subdivision. My question is I have heard these trees can be pretty brittle some have said the green giants are much better than the smaller varieties what are your thoughts please? Thank you in advance

Bamboo scares people because of the rhizomes. If they are not properly planted they can become a serious issue

That only happens with running bamboo but not with clumping bamboo. I have clumping bamboo that never ever grown out of its boundaries and stays in one clump all around.
