Some good tips in here, cool to see what other obstructions you have to pay attention too / deal with. will be making a dry sump pan for a saab motor in a mx5, for clearance.

Wouldn't it be easier to modify the factory oil pan? Still interesting to see how you made it, but I'm just not sure why you did it from scratch.

Ford Windsor. Technically there's no such thing as a small-block Ford. ;)

This system doesn't allow you to lower the engine in the car very much.

@@bvcxzgt5451 That depends on the application. I would assume he's based the pan depth off of the maximum distance of the rotating assembly from the pan rail. This is not a deep skirted block so the pan will be deeper

It's possible the rods are drilled for squirter holes.
