That is a great idea with the Cison gearbox bro! Yes they do need a clutch adapter for the flywheel the 175 cison clutch can be adapted if the mounting holes are redrilled on the alloy mounting plate,

Yeah absolutely bro, hopefully they release an adaptor or a brand new gearbox

I wish they would’ve put the distributor in the back like the small block Chevy it is supposed to look like.

It's kinda been a fantasy of mine for a long time. Or a Banjo Matthew's nascar frame. Skin it with a body made from aluminum flashing!

Cison makes a 2spd transmission for the cylinder as a direct bolt on. Don't know if it will work on the v8 or if you need an adapter? I've not seen anyone do it yet! I would but, I have neither the money or skills. So keep creating! It's motivational to me anyway.

Yeah had the same problem when mounting and finding a chassis for my Skyline build. It's why i decided to just make one out of 1/10th rc parts and a custom chassis setup.

@@RCTanksTrucks247i literally came here to state what was said in the first minute of the video. As far as the clutch setup, I think a clutch on the engine is the only way to go. A driveshaft between the engine and transmission will vibrate badly unless it's a precision piece. Either way have fun, I'm interested in how it's done.

Yes, but a adapter plate is one thing, but a drive union between the power plant and transmission cannot be some willy-nilly flex line, much less but still better...... a U-joint design or principle because it no matter what and will always be a question of seamless and balanced and direct engagement of power source to its varying ratio of final transmission as the official output junction or source for turning power to the final drive end of propulsion. A imbalance of power transmission or joining from the output source to the input, still needs a solid and direct means or else what would surely be a offsetting and catastrophic imbalance the more power being asked from a original scale size, will still result in a high frequency imbalance problem at the scaled down size.... Perhaps not structurally catastrophic but certainly an interference with the principle of power as a transmitting source and thus at the very least, diminished power as a output result with all kinds of predictable and unpredictable nasty problems in between. ....not to mention that all things being equal and therefore no problem but we have an adapter that increases the distance between the power source and transmission source.... Whatever increased distance it amounts to is never a good thing but perhaps at this scale size the question of power at the business end where the rubber meets the road might be objectively all over the place and therefore perhaps doesn't matter except that some perhaps Olympic class level where of course every derivative possible is accounted for and adjusted and shaved and relieved and yada yada yada where the end result like anything else at the end of the day becomes no longer fun lol .... you are an Aussie though and therefore perhaps you have all these things accounted for because as a general rule when it comes to the principle of going fast I always without exception defer to or lend credit to the Aussies.....the land and breed of white men still capable of extreme discovery through the principal of never letting off the accelerator as a means or option of avoiding death or disaster.... BIG BALLS... Second to none and just like yourself understand the principle of going fast by including the principle of being able to stop with a thing known as brakes which here in America is something to worry about and or learn when it's too late or a very high expense lol.... As if suspension and brakes isn't a part of helping you to go faster.

❤❤And D ,,,these engines are not built or designed to have much load put on them as they are made from extremely soft metals/Alloys ,,they really are for show and for hobbyist who love collecting engines . The whole deal of these chinese V8's ,4's and whatnot is because there is a whole group of hobbyist in the USA that would build a V8 engine as apart of there machinists apprenticeship,it was more of a thing done by machinist after the 2nd world war ,,and even today you have allot of old timers taking there builds back out of the cupbord and showing there engine builds at certain shows and school fetes and whatnot ,,,the American machinist back in the day would build an engine from scratch and litraly make every single part ,,the whole engine from top to bottom ,,these engines are /were built to last as they would build them from the rite materials ,strong high carbon steels and alloys ,,they would spend up to 4 years to build there engine ,doing all the math and all the machining ,,the lot ,,,, so when CNC got huge in China they were looking at reproducing anything to make a buck and these hobby engines are just one of those mass produced hobbyist motors that cost them little to produce because there built with low quality cheap materials, there made for the father and son type thing you do with your kids ,,used for learning and inspiring ,,and if they run for a few hours thats about the most they get ,,the pistons are soft mild steel ,the rings are sometimes harder than the sleaves and sometimes softer as they should be ,the sleeves are not even perfect and not even honeable ,and if your rings actually bed properly around the sleeve and dont have slop in the piston and slap around ,,well they hold enough compression to run a wile ,,its not like the pistons have more than one ring most the time ,,they need 2 for good compression and an oil ring at the bottom of sleeve ,,the engine is built with crap bearings that wear out ridiculously fast and many are custom made bearings that are not a common size that can easly be replaced with quality ceramic bearings ,,,,look in just saying people that there designed to be mounted on a nice stand where you can display it and toss a bit of nitro metho fuel in em and push the button and off they go for a couple of minutes ,most of them shut down when they get a bit hot because all the metal exspands so much that they loose compression and generally a pig to start again until there cool ,,honestly ,,,there not designed for a load and i know its a fun idea but not practical unless you use one to copy and build most of the internal parts yourself with quality steels and alloys ,,if you went to that much trouble you may aswell build it from scratch though . look at the effort one utuber has gone with his motor and building it into a car : johnQ is his channel from memory

I mostly agree with your assesment, I can add that the engines iv run (fs100, fs200) have run more than satisfactory, of course I had to make a decent clutch and transmission myself as nothing is offered for that , if you look at toyans own sand cruiser they definitely can be run properly, the issue is that people resort to using these substandard 2 speed set ups that see the poor engines beong over revved well before it's broken In , many compare toyan /howin with other so called "competitive" brands but o.s etc offer absolutely nothing that's user friendly, just over the top , poorly conceived concepts that only make sense on a race track setting , not day to day fun or easiness, sadly , it looks like all of these Chinese engine builders seem content with making engines to just run on a stand , very sad indeed , not at all a way to inspire anyone .

So , their own gearbox doesn't fit to their flagship engine , unbelievable! Beggars belief that someone creates an engine that nice , and decides to give a useless flywheel that does nothing .
