If you cut your support pieces twice as wide as they are now so you can fold them in half to fold over the center of the rulers from the bottom, then you could tape the open end inside the curve with one piece of tape to hold it in place. Less fussing, less cutting, less wrangling materials (ie, no multiple wraps with saran) and less time messing about.

I order acrylic templates from businesses for my leather business and they leave the backing paper on them and I peel it off once the template is delivered. Maybe it would save you time to leave the paper on instead of peeling it off? I think the paper will also protect them from scratches during shipping. Just a thought.

I don’t understand why you take the paper backing off the rulers. Wouldn’t it add stability during the shipping process? And then the customer could remove it themselves.
