2:20 this might help with desktop viewers but for most channels the majority of the viewers are on mobile and then on TV, the playlist won't show up like that but still it's better than nothing IF someone clicks on the playlist instead of a singular video which in itself has a lower chance...!

True, but there are still lots of viewers who aren't on TV. And it's not like doing this will negatively impact those TV viewers' experiences, most of them won't even see the links

@@Marcus-Jones yeah that's right, it can also be more positive for some types of content, like a series of videos back to back that some people wanna see them as a package(playlist) , smth like playthroughs my main point is that creators shouldn't expect to get a TON more views if they can't get any views on singular videos, playlists are useful when at least one of the videos in that playlist has alot of traction making people watch the others in the playlist, if that's the case I'd put the playlist in cards, description and even at the end of the video

Lotta good information here. A lot of misinformation here as well. “Valid Public Watch Hours” to get into the KZbin Partner Program does NOT count watch time from viewership while live. Only after the stream ends and a viewer chooses to watch the now finished stream. That viewers watch time will count as valid public watch time.

Marcus, there's another less known and more... anomalistic way, of getting the required watchtime. Have KZbin surface your content to a bunch of hungry viewers regarding one topic that is very seasonal. I know it's an edge-case, but this happened to me. I somehow got over 1100 subs and over 11k watch-hours in under a month. Now I know this is by no means a viral case, but it's definitely an edge-case where KZbin actually wanted the channel to succeed, and here's the kicker - it was through *one video* only. I'm still getting more watchtime and more subs right now but it's levelling off a bit. But this experience was full legit, and totally surprising, and I've been answering tons of Q's from my new subs. and now I'm monetised.
