It’s true about the legibility but I don’t care this watch is insanely beautiful you really have to see it to appreciate it. It is also super accurate 🎉

I agree, I need reading glasses as well to read the city names, so I won’t go for the watch either, even it’s stunning looking.

Why are you wearing your watch so close to your hand!?

Because I like it that way.

Doesn’t the crown rub your hand and irritate your skin? How do you bend your hand when wearing it!!?

Your wrist is way too small to pull off that timepiece.

It's on the edge, remember that camera angles, especially from the phone do not show reality. But watch is big and that was one of the reasons it went to someone else.

Fair criticisms. I’m having issues with the crown and it doesn’t seem to screw down completely. Any issues with the crown?
@Butik13 жыл бұрын
Not with screwing it to the end. But I must admit that “reverse conical” shape is not the most easy to grip. But once you get it in your fingers it works. I think you should service yours.
@jimgreene42483 жыл бұрын
@@Butik1 Thank you and it’s definitely a little difficult to grip. I only purchased it a month ago, but just haven’t had a chance to bring it back to my AD for a look

@@jimgreene4248 when screwing it in try going backwards until you feel it click into the thread and then screw it home. it should go all the way into the recess on the side of the case they have in lieu of crownguards. mine screws in all the way.

Off topic, what brand/model shirt is that? The print is awesome.

This is Polish brand VISTULA, you can check them at www.vistula.pl, I am not sure the're shipping internationally, but for sure they're making very high quality of clothes.

Over 40 and upset he needs readers to read a watch that has all the info at less than 43 mm. But not upset he puts on same readers to read a menu.

It's always hard to tell for sure, but that looks really big on your wrist.
@Butik18 ай бұрын
It was big, but not massive. Unfortunately camera always cheats and most of watches look much bigger than they are. This one was OK in reality, but had to go.

Yes, I need a magnifying glass to set the GMT! However, it’s a stunner! I think they could put a minute index in the ring under the crystal, where Rolex prints it’s name.
@Butik12 жыл бұрын
This could work with minute indexes. For sure the dial itself is too busy, so lack of them is to me understandable.

Thanks! I had been looking at this watch very seriously. But both of your concerns are really good points, and i haven't seen them mentioned anywhere else. Definitely gives me something to think about. Seems like this watch may be all about its looks and not very practical, especially for older eyes like mine.
@Butik12 жыл бұрын
For the looks it's a big YES. For practicality it's a no-go from me.
@clintmiller12 жыл бұрын
Yep. Your comment nails it. Perhaps a future version fixes these issues (or perhaps the issues can't be fixed without ruining its beauty). But until then, I'll look at other watches.

Interesting point but I find if I need to know time in other countries it’s far easier to use my phone that’s always on me. This would be more relevant two decades ago when phones weren’t mini computers in the pocket. The world timer aspect is a bit of a novelty for me. I quite like the look of it on a metal band.
@proseforpoets2 ай бұрын
It is a beauty. Too large for your wrist any way, so no. Aren’t details on these complications of watches too minuscule for most eyes, regardless of age?
@msbrownbeast3 жыл бұрын
It's a nice looking watch. But it's never about practicality and functionality when a watch costs close to 10k USD. Given its design, there's no way to make those numbers on the 2nd dial to be bigger. But if legibility is your thing, just buy a GMT watch with the 24-dial placed on a rotating bezel instead, the numbers on an outer bezel would definitely be big enough. IMHO, a modern GMT watch movement has more practicality than the worldtimer.
@Butik13 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right, that is why I am not complaining about this watch but my perception of it. This is only my personal problem. I fully agree about better practicality of GMT watch. But this one looks so good I wanted to have it at least for a while :)

Almost pulled the trigger on this to be my dress watch (with a leather strap), until I came across your second point. For me a precision instrument is meant to be used in such a way that illustrates exactly that. So if I couldn't tell the exact minute, or I couldn't place it exactly where the current time is, then for me it loses it's entire point of being one. A very beautiful watch nonetheless.
@allydea2 жыл бұрын
Your choice of course, but there are sooo many watches in the _dress_ category without minute indexes. I find it strange this is what would stop you from buying it for that purpose.
