One other suggestion regarding food, you can buy dehydrated food packs that are vacuum sealed and lightweight, and take up very little space, some you can eat straight from the bag, others if you have a flame source and can boil water can create a surprisingly good hot meal. They are normally used for survival kits but would be great for camping. There is a great KZbin channel called Cheap RV living that has a lot of tips relevant to camping.

I actually do exactly that! I pack ramen, plus packaged chicken/tuna to add for added protein.

Glad I found your channel, this is exactly what I want to do is take the Svartpillen on a trip across the country, and camp along the way. One suggestion (I’m a Retired Chef), you can use a roll up Chefs bag that is normally used for Knives and other kitchen tools for your bike tools. They range in cost from about 20 bucks to 200 for a nice custom made one with whatever inscription you would like. I have a heavy duty one that will stand up from the harsh elements of a restaurant kitchen, it would certainly do the same for a cross country trip. Please keep up the videos they are extremely helpful!

What luggage bags do you use for your Svart? What's your bike setup?

I used the Vuz Saddlebags from Amazon. Around $100, and solid bags, but with no support for them on the Svartpilen, they always threatened to swing into the wheel. I'd advise getting something like the Giant Loop Coyote, or a similar bag that wraps around, rather than 2 hanging saddlebags (unless you get/fabricate proper supports that is)

Does your svart already have the adjustable suspension or is that just the newer ones? Kind of a squid over here, don't know if the amount of adjustability you would get out of that would maybe not be enough hence the suspension advice or if that is just in case the bike doesn't already have adjustable suspension. Would be very happy about an answer. Cheers from Germany

So, the 2019 model is adjustable with preload in the rear only. the 2020 models and later have adjustable damping and rebound in the front forks. I typically kept the rear at 3 clicks more firm than standard just because I frequently had luggage strapped to the back.
