Tbh I paint almost every room twice 🤷 Thankfully if you do it yourself, paint isn’t tooooo expensive!
@starsaint8 ай бұрын
I'm convinced I made a mistake with my paint, it's the wrong undertone and sometimes it looks too much like the old coat of paint which I hate. Too yellow. I thought it would not have a yellow undertone to it at all. When I raised this issue with the painters they were nice and we ended up doing the second coat with something similar with much less yellow...but it still looks too warm and yellow most times. I didn't want to irritate my partner so I didn't ask them to repaint, as the painters said they would have to redo the primer and then two coats. What do I do 😢

Justin’s tip about the zip ties to hold up the light fixture while re-wiring is literally jaw dropping. My mouth was agape watching that, then I showed my husband and his jaw literally dropped too. This is such an amazing tip. We’ve done quite a few swaps of light fixtures in our house and still have more to go because we’ve been dreading the heaviest ones, and this is absolutely what we’ll be doing from now on. Thank you, Justin!

Drew, those orange colored flowers that you used in your floral arrangement are named Milkweed. Monarch butterflies lay their eggs on them. The caterpillars are bright green, they start out very tiny and grow to over an inch. They survive by eating the leaves and you will see full grown Monarchs sipping the nectar. They will eventually get raggedy looking as the caterpillars feed on plant and all the blooms will be eaten too. You’ll just cut the plant back and it will grow again for the next batch of Monarch caterpillars. It’s so cool to see the way they make Pupa, it’s pale green with golden spots on it. This is where the larva will reside until it emerges.

I'm going to say this, and some people will think this is a "bad" way, but it's said in a good, totally admirable way: I can see how this guy will be in his 50s. Bc he's already half way there. The dog named Winston. I can imagine him walking a similar dog in his middle age years, rocking the metro facial trim and swept hair do, granny core detailed to the nines with a tweed jacket and cap. And the moody, wood paneled house with the gothic touches and moody paint colors. It's cool when you can see someone's vibe through their future decades. You know the saying of how pets reflect their owners? I dont see it with Winston and him now...but if I imagine him older getting toward Granddad years, it ALL makes sense. Hes got an inner fully developed fine-living granddad inside him who is a lover of antiques and all things with architectural character. Big love ❤. I watch someone else on KZbin who is like this, addressing all his comments by explaining he's actuall an old man inside who inherited his grandparents love of old craftsmanship & fine chinawear collections, and i wish these two could meet

Within 3 years, I painted our living room 5 times, including sponge painting that needed to be sanded down before I could repaint. It was the mid-1990's so... I eventually found the right color and left it alone for 20 years till I was ready to sell that house and needed to neutralize. I'm so thankful to see you make your choices then change your mind because it doesn't give you the feeling that you want. I'm now sitting in the living room of my house that I bought last year and still haven't painted because I'm unsure. You reminded me that "It's just paint." So I think I will prime the walls this week and then get a quart of the two shades that I'm debating. Thanks, Drew.

I love thrift store shopping and have been doing that for years. It’s so interesting to pull together random things to make an entire vibe. I moved from a beach town to a stone mountain house in the mountains of North Carolina full time - and what fun it has been bringing in the antique-academia look to this old 1949 wood walled house. Bringing in natural elements has always been my thing like gnarly branches, rocks, sphagnum moss, fresh greenery from any cool bush outside! Together, it makes for a nice look and it’s inexpensive, just need the vision! As ever, I so enjoy your content!
