I want to have a jpeg image uv printed on a strat style guitar body. How do you adjust the image on an item like an electric guitar body? You know it has pickup, bridge and neck cavities, plus ıts not exactly a rectangular or a circle. It also has a slight curve like 10 degrees where you put your arm while playing. Any ideas, please?

If our printing surface has small extrusions, will that affect the printing? Ex: flat surface with a 2-3 mm(height) extrusion, 2 mm x 2 mm (width/length). The extrusion doesn't get printed on, but will it affect the printer? What's the distance between the printers dispensing unit and the printing surface?

It definitely matters Tim. Because there's a type of laser leveling system to prevent the item you're printing on from striking the printheads that surface must be flat. BUT.. our team here is pretty creative, so give them a call and talk it over

I know with some other UV printers, there is about a 2mm limit to how far the print heads an be from the material being printed on. Think it has to do with overspray fusing itself to the print heads themselves. The print head has to be further than that near the edges of this toilet seat. Isn't that a problem?

Hey Tommy D, good question. The printer has an auto height adjustment that helps prevent head strikes and the issue you described It was no problem with the toilet seat demonstration.

How do you make the design to work for the item you want to print on? For instance, the seat itself is empty in the middle, and the machine did not print anything there?

in this case, you could either cut out the hole in your graphic before printing - or, if you don't mind a little more ink cost you can just print the entire circle. The overspray comes off that silicon matt very easily.

Another question, I see the specs has the shortest dimension listed around 44". Our widest door is 34". Does that front panel disconnect so it can fit through doors of that size, or will this only fit through double doors?

Hi Tommy - that is not removable. If you've just got standard doors you'll want to work with your building or contractor to work out getting it inside. We've seen some pretty creative solutions.

Thanks for a great video! I manufacture white wooden toilet seats like the one you printed on. I was looking at a pvc vacuum machine to open up the imitation wood market. I am looking at around 1500 seats pm. Do you think this printer can do the job and would you recommend it for continuous volume work? I feel like printing directly onto the product is more efficient than printing on pvc and then sticking on the pvc..

Great video! Question, the application use I have in mind is for plastic, on a handheld Nintendo gaming system. Relatively flat plastic front shell. My question is, does this printer/ink provide any kind of clear seal? If not, what do you recommend, in order to ensure handheld use won’t easily/quickly damage or distort the custom artwork. The uv inks we use should adhere just fine to the controller, though we would like to test just to make sure. If it does, then you can add a clear channel right on top of the graphic in the printing process. Should not need an additional sealer.

Coldesi Colman application for genuine leather or imitation material, sometimes for hard skin surfaces such as skin. vegetable. it looks like a sturdy machine, I have to save to be able to have it. lol

Geri, we're working with some flexible ink formulas now that would work on leather. However, we don't recommend using UV for anything that touches the skin.

I would recommend finding another company if you are looking for a UV Printer. I regret buying my iUV 600s, way too much wasted time as this thing has endless connection problems and Unknown errors. pretty sure they ship these things with a gremlin inside.

This looks like a good printer but a toilet seat is probably not the best choice for showing off the printer's capabilities. The drop off of ink as it wraps around the edge would be a deal-breaker for 99% of my customers.
