The blooms on my channel banner are from these plants back in April 🌸 I used normal compost with a mixture of egg shells and spent coffee grinds....hindsight is telling me I should have used ericaceous because they look hungry now 🫣

Hi Laura, to help your Cherry tree with the aphid problem, you could try using some Neem oil mixed with a tiny bit of dish soap and spray your tree. The Neem oil is completely organic and a little dish soap will not hurt your tree. Also a good aphid eater are true ladybugs 🐞 Your cherry tree otherwise looks healthy and should be fine making it through the winter 😀 👍
@thetinygarden_
@thetinygarden_ Жыл бұрын
Hey Julie 👋 thank you so so much, I didn't want to spray it but if this neem oil is organic I must try it! I tried dish soap and hosing the leaves but I don't think the water pressure was strong enough to blast them away! I did have one ladybird visit the tree but I haven't seen him for a while 🐞😅🌱
@julieg1270
@julieg1270 Жыл бұрын
@@thetinygarden_ Hi Laura I have a small orchard where I live and have used Neem oil on my trees and it has done well for them, it is recommended that you spray now for the infestation and then again in the spring when the trees start to come out of dormancy, that way any eggs or developing larvae will be stopped in their tracks 😁. Best of luck to you, you're doing a wonderful job in your beautiful little garden 🙃👍

Wow marigolds are beautiful and even on a video the colours jump. Our dog absolutely loves blueberries 🫐. The squashes in small pots if you have to pot on just like someone else said pop it either in the bigger pot or a grow bag. I’m trying an experiment with the blueberries in pots, cutting the pot bottom off with a dremel tool and then putting the pots in the ground 🤞🤞🤞. Tomatoes 🍅 look superb and huge trusses 👍. Great tour Laura and so much going on ❤. Have a super week ahead, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

The tomato flower is fasciated which means multiple flowers in one head, a little like Siamese twins, in a way. They grow well. Tomatoes that form will be joined and odd shaped. Everything's looking fab Laura. I had similar looking shoots on a couple of my tomato plants to that one you showed that you weren't sure about.. mine developed into chunky flowers and have set fruit, I think it's just a variety thing as is it different to your other variety on the main frame? Also if you're topdressing the blueberries, are you using ericaceous soil? I sometimes get that yellowing on the leaves too and as you say, this variety turns through to copper as autumn gets closer.
