#thumbnailcomment Psychologically speaking when a small man sees a large man and feels inferior in someway this is a negative in the mind. Let's say a negative five. Because the mind works on positive and negative and it wants to stay on the positive side to change this perceived state of the world they may challenge them thus telling themselves they are not afraid thinking they can win, or are just not afraid in general. Thus the negative no longer exists and they concentrate on the positives which would be being able to "beat" the large person or just not afraid. Thus they are no longer inferior and are now concentrating on these positives. Which would be a positive 6 or 7 on average. So you go from a negative 5 to a positive 5 or 6. Unless they lose then the negative is much worse. It's basic psychology. If they do not feel inferior they won't care either way... And sometimes they may just be bored and want to pick on somebody and in that case large people can't complain when small pick on them the same as if they did it to their same size or smaller, etc. But once again a negative overidden by a positive since that is how humans work.
