@@gadgetman404 any quad can use lion, as long as the cell count doesn't exceed the electronic components. I don't know what the flight time will be as I don't test every quad with lion packs. Normally only quads that are long range are designed for lion and thus I test them with lion packs.

The 'vents' aren't designed for it to "breath" as you mentioned. They're a weight saving measure, which actually creates added noise & ever-so-slightly shorter flight time, both caused by the prop tip vortices whistling through the slots. I found that covering them with strips of tape from the inside helps with the noise, while not changing flight characteristics at all. My postal scale only reads 0.1g gradiation, and didn't even see the weight of the tape... Also VERY important to mention: The 6S version of the Cinelog35 can use 4S 3000mAh Lion batteries for a claimed cruising flight time of 20 minutes.

02:20 When I look for quads with prop guards, I just want to be able to be able to touch branches, walls, or surfaces and be able to continue flying, as what I like most is to do fast proximity flying. I don't carry action cameras and don't really care about the recordings, I really just fly for fun. I wish there were frames with lower profile prop guards to just give a little more protection without compromising too much performance.

This was a very helpful review ! My son has gotten me into the fpv side of droning , (and yes time does fly ;-) ) and this seems like a logical choice after my time with the DJI FPV drone progression. I would feel a little more confident pushing my skill level, as I'm not a basher with my DJI drone. The DJI drone is like owning a Corvette, but I'm not going to take it to the track to race. This seems to be a good choice in stepping up my flying game without fear of trashing a $1000 drone... ;-) Great information thanks. This seems pretty good. I've really been enjoying the Flywoo Cinerace20 and was curious how this would compare. My guess is the Cinelog35 would have more lifting power for a fullsize GoPro, but I was disappoitned the flight time isn't better. I can get 7:30 on the Cinerace even with a naked GoPro mounted, and it's pretty capable as far as flight characteristics. Did you get a chance to fly this one in wind? I ordered CineLog 35 (sorry Protek 35 you lost my competition ;)). I'm still waiting for the UPS package. Quick question - I already have 1550 mAh and 650 mAh. Both are 90C Tattu 4S lipos. I guess without GoPo, flight time on 1550 mAh will be amazing but what about 650 mAh? Theoretically 650 mAh can give up to 58.5 Amperes (42% of what 1550 can give). Will I destroy my 650 mAh or it will just sag and there will be no permanent damage to the battery?
@NickBurnsFPV3 жыл бұрын
voltage sag alone won't kill the battery. Sag being temporary, but if we continue to fly well below 3.5v/cell that will eventually damage the battery. I don't expect to get good punchouts on 650, it would sag before reaching the peak rpm. I suspect the flight time will be pretty short other than a smooth cruise. Maybe 1:45 or less if flying semi aggressively
