Personally I think green iguanas are easier to manage, But red iguanas make good pets too, Since they are basically the same breed of iguana, I’d say that I could get one, But green iguanas, are more easier to manage and docile if they are raised well, so idk Maybe Red Iguanas? But they are the same, Question: Are green iguanas smaller than their red counterpart.

My red iguana is about 7 months and it started sleeping heavily during the night but he also started sleeping a littlw bit during the day and I don't know if I should be worried or not

If he's still eating and pooping normally, he's probably fine. You may want to doublecheck your UVB lights as well. Compact fluorescents and ExoTerra tube fluorescents should be replaced every 6 to 8 months for growing animals, ZooMed bulbs typically last at least 10 to 12 months.

i am really interested in having an iguana and i was wondering can u make an blue toung skink chow but modify for an iguana so alot of veggies and a some peleted food

y do they have green belly's and not red I heard that there r pure red iguana were there whole body is red and if so do u carry them and if not do u know who does.

My Red Iggy azalea is the best a little shaky at times but bold she will fight a dog if she wants to lol has never bit me i never seen her snap at me but she did get my dog pretty good she Hate's a cage likes to run free lives around the house not sure if it's ok but she's happy that way she mostly lives without heating lights or anything special I have the UVB lights and stuff I just can't seem to keep her in a cage she rather sit out and about I keep the house pretty warm I take walks while she sits on top of my head every now and then I heard the sunlight is real good for her

I can guarantee you she's not happy without any basking lights or exposure to UVB. They need to reach a certain temperature to able to digest food properly, they should have a hot basking spot of at least 100 degrees, preferably even higher. They need to be able to thermo regulate their body temperature to stay healthy. It may seem healthy or happy to you at the moment but unless you keep your house at 95 degrees or something its health will not last long(even then there is a whole host of reasons it will still not do well). In reality, when it's out in the house it is probably just cold and you are mistaking that for comfort. It's enclosure is probably not set up correctly or not big enough, maybe a combination of things. If your Iguana is still around I would be happy to answer any questions if you had them and help you get it situated properly. I can't stress enough that it will not remain healthy in the long term just lounging around your house. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just want to help you keep your Iguana healthy and alive. If you don't see them on the website, it's because they're out of stock. We get them in every so often, so just keep checking! It's hard to say when exactly they'll be available.

+Lpslizardlover scientfically- they're still green iguanas, the only difference is their tail tends to make up a little more of their body length, and of course their color anecdotally- my red iguana is a bit more trusting than green iguanas i've met, and tends to like new people more, but thats probably just his nature rather than something due to his morph
