I have plates for both my A7RV and a6700, mainly because of the convenience when mounting to a tripod. They do add size and weight, which is contrary to the reason you would buy a smaller, more portable camera. I take them off when I’m out and about and won’t be using a tripod.

Peter, I have that grip. But, I recently came across a plate on Amazon that has a spot for a hidden AirTag. Want to buy my silver one?
