*An angel doesn't fear death* At first glance, it seems incomprehensible: How could Yitzchak Avinu, knowing that his father was planning to sacrifice him, keep on going as if nothing had happened? The fear alone would have paralyzed any normal person! Well, as the pious gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz said, Yitzchak had no fear of death. We're afraid of death, but Yitzchak Avinu was like an angel. The ending of his life didn't frighten him, and from his point of view, being bound and slaughtered by the command of Hashem was just like putting on tefillin or observing Shabbat.
