My favorite and I think most important thing about your channel is that it addresses being late diagnosed. It is extra isolating and seeing you and the others posting here has meant a lot to me. There are many of us out there who need the answers we've somehow found. We all need to help them find it how we can and your channel is a good way of doing so. I also agree to be welcome or benefit from your channel the answer need not necessarily be autism, but finding who you are and being that person.

Hey Claire! Just dropping in to express how much I enjoy Porch Coffee even if I don't often have much to say. Look into getting a venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula)! Sounds like they'd have some good eating. They're native to the marshy coastal areas of the Carolinas, though, so I don't know how well they'd match in terms of climate to where you are. Maybe there's another carnivorous plant that would be a better fit.

Hi Smoo - good question on the y’all - I did spend a few years in Texas but I think my desire for a 3rd person common plural is from being exposed to it in other languages. It’s a gap in English in my opinion.

Hi! A couple things... btw I rarely comment but wanted to share I found u thru mom on the spectrum and I am glad I did I could use another asd homegirl on the interwebs lol. I recently realized I am indeed on the spectrum, not sure if and when I will get a formal diagnosis I really can't stand to be shut out and told no.....when I know my truth. I actually starting thinking I was on the spectrum when I watched the first season of Love on the Spectrum I would have tears just falling from my eyes because I could relate soooooo much it hit so hard but I doubted because the people they picked seemed to have more obvious struggles I guess u could say....I dont want to say higher or lower functioning. I just got rid of Netflix so I am excited to watch your reviews. I also love Bob's Burgers❤ can't wait to see the movie.

@@stijn2472 It really is a semantic discussion, and language is fuzzy. We, as a people, tend to suck at imprecision. I had a bit of a tantrum when I tried to figure out which generation I belong to, Gen X,Y,Z, millennial? The borders between them move. It's madness.

It's a mad cartoon show - probably on Comedy Central/Cartoon Network/Adult Swim et al. I swear that the Belcher family kids are coded autistic, hence the comments likening themselves to one or more of the characters. Has won Emmy's and nominated for loads more. It's cool. But that's just my opinion. Depends on whether you like quirky cartoons or not. I always liken it to "King of the Hill" - but that probably dates me.
@andreaharmon8931

@@smicketysmoo thanks for explaining it. I do like weird cartoons but am sensitive/don't like crude or fowl language or mean behavior. I know King of the Hill but don't know if I ever watched it. I used to watch The Simpsons way back in the day, and I always thought King of the Hill had a similar vibe, but maybe not.
@smicketysmoo
@smicketysmoo 2 жыл бұрын
@@andreaharmon8931 Yes, Bob's Burgers is definitely more of the Simpsons vibe, but actually quirkier. It is more recent and therefore a progression of that style. It is family friendly and heart warming. As I say, just my opinion.
@andreaharmon8931
@andreaharmon8931 2 жыл бұрын
@@smicketysmoo thanks. Maybe I'll give it a watch first without kids. I've got younger kids. I grew up watching The Simpsons when it first came out. King of the Hill came out when I was a teenager and I don't know if I actually ever sat down and watched an episode, though I'm sure I was exposed to it. I got more picky with what I watched as I got older and especially after having kids. I'm sure I'd find humor in Bob's Burgers. I really don't watch a lot of TV and I go see a movie about every 5 years or more. Though I watch plenty of Netflix or Disney plus movies. Where does Bob's Burgers tv series stream?
@smicketysmoo
@smicketysmoo 2 жыл бұрын
@@andreaharmon8931 Probably a good idea to watch w/out the children, they may not get a lot out of it. Not violent or nasty though, just anarchic. As to where to see it - ?
