I wouldn't count Monte Carlo as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Many beautiful cities in Northern Europe do not even appear there. The most beautiful cities in Europe are completely subjective. All the countries of Europe have wonderful cities. The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, etc. are not mentioned here at all, e.g. 🙂 Greetings from Germany

I agree, this was a subjective selection from a single traveller who went to those places. Monte Carlo may be impressive for its wealthy splendour but does not evoke the same 'beautiful' feelings as many old cities, as well as the countries you mentioned.

I agree, but as you also said it's subjective. It would be literally impossible to put all the beautiful places in a single country into a video of any less than 100hrs and give them the attention they deserved, let alone a continents worth.

Germany is one of my favourite countries, and I've visited a lot of cities there. I wouldn't describe them as beautiful though. Maybe Dresden could make the list but it's not a big city. On the other hand Germany dues gave some of the most beautiful castles and towns in the world (Hohenzollern, Neuschwanstein, Schwerin etc(

Each time they're shown a different country or place in other parts of the world they compare it to Paradise and say the people living there are the luckiest in the world. Makes one appreciate what we take for granted here. 😔

To be fair, I think the case for Europeans is accurate, they have some of the highest standards of living, with a strong social system, they have easy access to any of the countries in the EU, and they have such a long history, that there is so much to see and not enough time to see it all. Personally, I think they are some of the luckiest people in the world, unfortunately, a lot of Europeans don't actually realise that.

Lovely! I especially enjoyed Prague and Positano, but the others were all beautiful too. What I'd most like to see is Athens, though. Let's hear it for KZbin so we and our friends can see these wonderful places at least a little. I wish they'd get a chance to go to Europe. It's closer than America! 😄

The downside to Europe, is that there are so many interesting sites to see and not enough time to see them, even for Europeans, a lifetime isn't really enough to see what Europe offers, especially if you are into history and site seeing.

It's funny they are so enamored with Europe, when we europeans are often enamored with places like Turkey, India, Japan, etc. etc. Places that has a very different culture than our own. :)

It's because we are used to it, after all, we've been here all our lives, so it's normal, so for us, it's not different, it's normal, whereas other places around the world are different for us. With all that said, Europe does offers a lot more to see than we see around the world, mainly thanks to its long and rich history and diverse history over so many countries, it's kinda difficult for anywhere else around the world to compete with that, hence why individual EU countries are some of the top tourist destinations around the world and I wonder what that number would be like in total for all the EU countries combined.

to be fair, both continents do have it pros and cons.. i am from europe but i visited the usa a couple times. The landscapes in the usa are amazing but the cities are mehhh.. in europe cities you feel the history and can see its beauty.

The US also has ancient history. We have 1,000 year old native American pueblos. The history of the continent did not start with Europeans, the America's have many ancient civilizations.

I'm from Europe now American but it's all subjective. Beautiful places all around the world. I've lived in Hawaii and Asia so I've seen a little bit of the world. My state of Michigan has many beautiful places too. My hometown of Munich is beautiful as is the province of Bavaria.

Europe has more beautiful old cities. America has more beautiful wild places. California and Italy are my recommendations. Oregon and England too
