The pencil picture is in World of Flowers and I absolutely loved colouring it. I got so wrapped up in it and I was pleased to see the little pencil picture in her new book. The Dutch version is already in the book shop here in Delft and im buying it today.😊

I'm loving this book. The paper is gorgeous and I've been feeling very tired and stressed since the start of December and I just can't motivate myself to do anything complex and large. I had this book for Christmas and it's been a game changer.

I watched this a few days ago and commented on it, but I really wanted to commet again. When this came out, I was not interested because I thought it was a lot of tiny pictures. Your flip through, and your explanation that they weren’t tiny, they were just sized to fit the pages, made me want to order it. I did order it, and I got it yesterday, and I absolutely love it. Thank you again again!

I love this book! A perfect pocket size for colouring on the go or on the couch. The image size is sooo much easier to colour for those of use with older eyes! I would like more pocket-books like this 😊

Great review Claire! Thank you for sharing it with us. I don't have a copy of Small Victories, but am hoping to pick one up at some point. I love what you did with the page that you've coloured. It looks fantastic! I'd be happy to see you colour any of the pages from this book on your channel, particularly if you use Polychromos as they're my favourite pencil. As someone who only has a set of 24 Prismas, due to how expensive they are to buy in the UK, I'm always pleased to see colour alongs and tutorials that feature alternative pencil brands.

I love this book and the idea of having the option to complete a small illustration instead a big page, but I agree with you Johanna’s work is getting quite repetitive, something completely different from her would be amazing.

Thank you so much for the comprehensive review, Claire! I've got a UK copy of the book coming as well as a US copy so I'm curious to compare them. I thought that I had read somewhere that the US copy had the paper tinted to match previous US editions (but I could be mistaken :)) - interested to see what that means. :) I've always preferred the UK paper in her books - it's lovely for colouring using Pitt Pens. I just got mine on the 9th of this month! I love it! I've been jumping around in the book, coloring a little here and there! I've got the mini Enchanted Forest! Love it also. Would love if other artists of coloring books would offer different sizes in their collections! Thank you for sharing! Just got into colouring brought a full sized book from another artist and while the images are beautiful and intricate it was totally intimidating and I was too overwhelmed to even start. I saw this and thought it looked much more manageable. I already love it little bite sized images are gorgeous and I adore the variety from flowers to houses to dinosaurs. I’m also impressed and pleased that these aren’t just images shrunken down . I was able to jump right in on this one and first complete image gave me the boost to complete the next one.

This new book is beautiful! Thank you for your review. I'm glad Johanna has done this book since I haven't really managed to work much from her miniature coloring books while on the go. First of all, I don't particularly like to use fine liners or fine-tipped gel pens to color in an entire picture, or trying to keep track of pen caps that invariably fall off and roll under chairs. (Which only seems to happen if I am in public, and not at home). Secondly, my old eyes--even with glasses--can't deal with the teeny tiny spaces and lines if I'm sitting in a dimly lit waiting room. I also have a couple of huge purses I bought specifically to haul my coloring gear, but in case of the many of Johanna's books, the pages invariably start falling out all over. I know a lot of colorists like books where the pages can be easily removed, but I prefer to leave them in place, so I'm also very excited about the new binding!

I just got my copy this evening! It's possibly my favourite book from Johanna. I'm currently being assessed for ADHD so having something like this book that doesn't require hours and hours may well be how I stick to colouring. I'd love to see the sort of thing you did in the worlds of wonder book where you had the wheel picker choose a pencil brand and 5 colours or what have you =D

I am really enjoying the pictures in this book. They are just the right size for me to complete in one sitting. I have a little boy who keeps me hopping up and down; so these are bite-sized enough for me to finish in between caring for him. I enjoyed I your review because you took the time to describe each page and give some ideas of how to color the pages too. Thank you!

I have more coloring books than I'll ever complete. Tried to talk myself out of this one. Failed. I can't wait to color in it. I flipped through my copy and it just filled me with happiness. I just can't commit to a large scale/complicated coloring page these days. I think a lot of those motifs could be cut out afterwards and used on the fronts of handmade cards.

Thank you for the flip through Claire. This is not my cup of tea, it seems Johanna and Hanna decided going smaller and smaller. Neither have innovated.. on this particular one, i don’t see anything Johanna did not do before. I rather to have the regular size book she used to and have the illustrations drawn bigger so I can layer pencils. I don’t see what’s the point on this one, not worth the money in my opinion.

This one is for people who don’t have time or always want to colour a giant page. I just wish it was one sided.
