You can only match one characteristics with Small World, if the revealed card from the hand and shown card from the deck can only share one characteristics, same for the shown card from the deck and searched card. It’s not too important, you can still search a salad from a salad through something like Ash Blossom, but it’s still something to keep in mind

Yup, things like Salamangreat and Drytron are bad examples, because they're matching attribute AND type. Dragonmaids on the other hand are all the same type, but different attributes, so it should work in that deck. Basically, you want to put this in a deck with monsters of all the same type OR the same attribute, but not both.

If you want to search gazelle through something like spinny you just need to banish something in deck like an ogre which is a level 3 but shares nothing else.

This card is really good in Gizmek and Appliancers. You can use it to search Gizmek Naganaki, summon it, use its effect to summon something from the deck, and then its graveyard effect to recover one of the cards you banished face down. By itself this is a full Appliancer Socketroll combo (and you can use handtraps such as Ash and Effect Veiler as bridges).

Play ghost reaper and winter cherries, you already have a bunch of extra deck space to use it well, and with it you can banish eater reveal reaper (dark) banish reaper add maju(level 3)

I thought you could use lava golem or eater as a bridge for a minute by banishing DARK rank-8s, turns out neither work for searching maju. I don't think adding tour guide for this purpose is worth it, it's too niche honestly. Maybe you might want to use dogoran or chuprabaca as a bridge, or use it to search kaijus or lava golem when you need to, but it's not sure if it's worth the card advantage issues.

I think this card will allow for experimentation of some neat hybrids. Drytrons are all level ones, so this can allow for drytrons to search nervall and pivot into tri-brigades for example.

This can search prattically any monster as long you have the right set up but the steep cost is going to bring it down a lot. But monotype decks that don't need too many cards in the hand can easily use this card to search handtraps, kaijus or ra sphere. And you can banish an handtrap with the right condition to search specific cards in your deck. Anything with 0 atck can be searched by banishing 2 ghost girl handtraps. Prank kids can also take advantage of this card to search a bunch of different cards. Green Maju decks can use this card to search their name sake. Etc...

This card is nuts in @Ignisters. All the monsters share the type of being Cyberse but are completely different in terms of ATK, DEF, and Attribute. You can also do really cheeky stuff like revealing any @Ignister in hand then revealing Doshin/Hiyari in deck to then add a Droll & Lock Bird. Overall the decks that already have a vast Type or Attribute difference are mostly likely gonna be nuts with this card.

@2:29 the problem isnt (most of the time) people dont know how to read, instead of reading, they try to think of a card like it, and they apply the effects like its the same card. for example, people would be like this is the stratos of the deck, or this is the multifaker of the deck. and people wont read the rest of the card that may have restrictions.

So if I'm reading it right, you basically have to banish two monsters to search a monster but it can be *any* monster as long as it shares exactly one of the listed criteria of the monsters you banished. That's kind of steep but it still means you can search essentially anything. If it didn't banish the two monsters face-down I'm going to guess this thing wouldn't stay at three for very long.

It's a -1, -1 for playing the spell card, -1 for banishing monster in hand, 0 for banishing monster in deck, +1 for adding card into hand. But there are those who'd say it's a -2 if one considers banishing monster in deck as a -1 akin to those who think Pot of Cupidity/Desires as a -9.

Based on the wording it lets you do a little more but for quite the cost. Like you have to match exactly one thing for the hand and shown monster, and then match something else for the shown monster and whatever you add to hand. So theoretically you would be able to show a Stratos off of a windwitch card (they share wind attribute) and then add to hand like a war rock (they share warrior type) The only real thing that's been bugging me is the cost and the "Exactly 1 of these" clause. Like that sounds like whatever you search can’t have more than one thing in common with the other card. Idk

Correct, the biggest issue is the monsters can match one and ONLY one condition so your example is perfect. You can't use a light beast to search another light beast etc, I said this on another video but this card is super niche, more useful for searching out staple monsters than searching out archetypal win conditions in the main deck Edit : David corrected me, their levels match so the example isn't quite perfect Edit 2 : Quigs edited their original comment so everything matches up again!

So you don't need to have all 3 cards match the same thing. the one in hand and the first in deck have to match and the first on deck has to match with the second in deck so you can reveal e hero stratos and dragon ruler tempest to search super quantum white layer. also you can't use this card in e heroes because those mostly are level 4 warrior and you are not allowed to match 2 thing, it has to be exactly 1.

You can only match 1 characteristic so in drytrons case you can search another drytron if the second card is a benten or ghost ogre. But you cant search effect veiler unless the second card is ghost ogre or a drytron ritual.

I think the best example I've seen of someone not reading a card just happened in a duel I played yesterday. Sunavalon vs ABC. Opponent activates Tornado Dragon and targets my set Sunavalon Bloom. I chain Sunavalon Bloom. Opponent lets this resolve DESPITE THE FACT that they had ABC-Dragon Buster on the field with 3 cards in hand. Since I controlled a Link 4 or higher Plant monster during Sunavalon Bloom's resolution, it negates Tornado Dragon and ABC-Dragon Buster's effects. Opponent then proceeds to activate BOTH of ABC-Dragon Buster's effects, which instantly get negated. I don't if they thought that the monster leaving the field would get around the negations or what, but I laughed so hard when that happened. The craziest part about this whole thing is that it was in an online duel, so they clearly saw "Sunavalon Bloom is activated. Chain another card?" on their screen, with a little highlight over ABC-Dragon Buster and still said "No" to that. If they had just read what my trap did, they could have banished my Link 4 Plant monster, destroyed my trap card, and destroyed my Sunvine Thrasher after the chain resolved. But instead, they lost the duel (and the match) on that same turn.

Rule sharks take advantage of these kinds of things, some Yugioh players don't read, and judges are not exactly infallible when it comes to rulings. So I was exaggerating when i said "rulings nightmare" but it isn't exactly unwarranted either. It is notable how many players got confused by Small World's card effect. Hell I needed to watch this video because dpYGO explains things in way that makes sense and is straight to the point. In a high stress competitive environment? Forget about it.

So I can simplify this card. You need a total of 3 cards to play this out. 1 monster in hand 1 monster in deck 1 monster to search. The monsters in deck and in hand get banished face down to get the search target. They all need to share 1 aspect for it to work. All same type OR all same level OR all same attribute, but not multiple. Honestly this card is freaking amazing for just about every archetype and pseudo archetype out there, while punishing incidental synergy decks (Yata Garasu and CED are impossible to combo, as an ancient example, or Dragonlink and Drytron as more modern examples. Cant search Benten depending on the card you are using lol).

so banish 2 monsteers (one not in the hand) face down along with spending a card, in order to search 1 monster, with the targets having to be specifically the same in an exact manner. Konami REALLY loves banish face-down stuff.

that card is a minus one but basicly it allows you to add any monters because the monster you add doesn't need to match any of the characteristics of the revealed monter in hand. as and example you can reveal a blue-eyes, show chaos dragon levianeer then you can add a dark magician. if you compare blueE to DM they don't share anything nor type nor attribute and atk or def value don't match either but levi and blue share atk value or type or level and dm and levi share attribute and just that but it is enough to add DM. I think this card is great even though is a minus one.

This card works well in time thieves as a regulator searcher reveal a dark reveal a psychic add a level 4 regulator

You wouldn't be able to run it in earth machines because they need to match specifically 1 thing. They can't match type and attribute

I played that Small World Challenge and finally understand how the card works. No, it can’t turn your Cubic bricks into a Crimson Nova. You can turn your Vijam into a Duza (I run Hanewata in Cubics; Vijam -> Hanewata -> Duza), or a Crimson Nova into Ash or Pankratops (Crimson Nova -> Indiora Doom -> Ash/Pank), but that’s about it.

I see this as an absolute win for Harpies. Pick any Harpie in your hand, banish Pet Dragon (Fearsome Fire Blast) from deck and search any Harpie you want (Most likely Channeler or Perfumer) I kinda think more decks are gonna start playing some useful Garnets for their decks to utilise this to basically get what they want.

Konami just printed a generic RotA. This card is so good in any deck that runs handtraps and an Archetype that shares 1 commonality with a handtrap. Its also stupid in LV4 centric decks that can tech a skullmeister or have at least 1 non-archetypal monster to bridge between their 2 archetypal monsters. Warrior spam also likes this obviously. So do Dragons. One thing this card will do however is make people mad when they can't search some of their archetypal monsters simply because it happens to have 1800 def or 0 atk.

Cards that let you add banished cards to your hand or gy work with face-down banished? If yes then this could have his uses for example on Abhyss that has a reptile that puts two banished cards in your graveyard. If not then you need a combo deck that reeeeeaaaalllyyy needs his combo pieces more then any card it could banish face-down. Another doubt I have is if the opponent let's say uses number 38 on this card (just an example of a spell negation) then what happens? Can he negate after I revealed the 2 cards? If yes does this mean I would have to banish them anyway face-down?

1) Yes, as long it specifies "cards". Ex: PSY-Framelord Omega return 1 banished CARD to the GY, even if it's face-down. 2) Banish face-down isn't a cost, this card doesn't have a cost. Ex: You don't banish if N38 negates it.

@@MrJuan_Vzla Oh thanks for the clarification. Then this card has less risks that I thought. Dunno if know it can be relevant because I think most combo decks that want to banish stuff already have enough combo pieces but in the future this card will probably pull off disgusting combos.

@@GRtogetaBIC yeah, it's a good card. If you're playing a combo deck, this allows you to search for any missing pieces. Or if you have all the pieces, then you can search for handtraps.

So....it's a universal Searcher more or less. But you have to banish the monster you're targetting to get it in your hand. I can see how this card might be splashable in a lot of decks that need a searcher but the cost seems a bit high in my opinion but that also depends on what it is you're pulling out of the Deck in exchange for the monster.

So, if you have like effect veiler (light) in your hand and search to show rainbow dragon (light) in your deck and then banish effect veiler and rainbow dragon (4000atk) then you can add obelisk the tormentor to your hand?

No, Small World must require EXACTLY ONLY 1 among 5 elements (Type, Attribute, Level, ATK, DEF) to be same together. Both Rainbow Dragon and Obelisk the Tormentor have 2 same elements (Level 10 and 4000 ATK), so it cannot work. For the solution, you can also so these as followed... 1. Activate Small World 2. Reveal Effect Veiler in your hand and...show Exxod, Master of The Guard in your Deck [Both only have same 0 ATK] 3. Banish Effect Veiler FACE-DOWN, then add Obelisk the Tormentor from your Deck to your hand [Both Obelisk and Exxod only have same 4000 DEF], and if you do, banish Exxod FACE-DOWN. It's pretty hard on the first impression. But if you started to figure out, it is become fun card indeed.

It'll see play in combo decks that have an easy way of trading their hand traps for engine stuff or vice-versa. Drytron can use Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer to swap any drytron for any of their light fairies or vice versa. The card won't see play in subterror, 'cause you're sure as fuck not banishing fiendess to search a handtrap, and running a spell that's only good if you already have your 1-of umastryx in hand is bad yugimons.
