I just don't look at ppl and if I do I make sure to maintain eye contact for as long as possible and don't blink because I don't like when people look at me, and as a lil child who plays too many video games I'm used to not blinking so I just stare for a solid 2 minutes until they buzz off

My math teacher in high school was talking shit at me for no reason, then paused. He hadn't asked a question and I maintained eye contact. He then gave me detention for "staring". I wasn't staring, I was trying to be polite by listening to him. Was I supposed to look away or stare out the god damn window? I did not attend that detention because the reasoning was dumb and fuck that guy.

I've had similar issues. I'm autistic and really struggle with direct eye contact, so one time a teacher was talking to me and ordered that I look her in the eyes even though she knew I'm autistic and whatever we were talking about wasn't serious enough for direct eye contact. Kinda messed up that a lot of people have issues with teachers who can really leave an impression on young people

I love the compact diorama feel this game has, if something is there you can interact with it. And the details like fact that the devs knew that people would find an infinite lives trick so they made crowns at 1000 lives... it's very nice. The only down side is the non existant replayability: once you finished it 100% it's done... wich says a lot about the quality.

My favorite Mario game of all time. The story of the production of the game is incredibly touching as well, with the game serving as a source of comfort and solidarity to a team suffering in the midst of an ecological disaster

As a brief explanation, the development was disrupted by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in 2011. Following that, the team used the game both as a way to stay positive themselves, and were determined to produce a product that would bring as much joy to the people suffering from the natural disasters as possible. That genuine love and care for the product really shines through, and you can clearly see how much the game meant to the people working on it.

So I was ecstatic when this game came out, and absolutely floored when I thought I beat it only to unlock the second half. Good memories, indeed! this game is very good for being the groundwork for 3D world and any future game that mixes the 2D formula but in 3D, I especially like how huge and open some of these levels are, like 4-1 I think? The exploration mixed with this normal gameplay is so fun and satisfying, and they seemed to take note in bowser’s fury
