Exactly what I was thinking. However, if Galaxy 2 is an alternate timeline after the ending of Galaxy, that would make Galaxy 2 his origin canonically. As far as I can tell, Mario is the only one who remembered the events of Galaxy one apart from Rosalina.

The talk about watching his vids while falling asleep is so true, I've been actively watching the "interesting challenges" playlist While trying to fight this current stint of insomnia. Speaking of, Smant saying he can barely survive 30 hours straight is bonkers to me, because again, current run of insomnia and anxiety ruining my life is at least 50 hours. Like, saturday afternoon right now, did not sleep last night (f-s), or thursday night (th-f), I think the last time I slept was a short nap around midnight wendsday night (w-th). Like that's math I'm to tired to do right now but it's more than 50 hours because it's definitely more than 2 days straight. Sadly not uncommon for me. One time in college I literally couldn't sleep for 5 days straight my brain just wouldn't shut off, basically spent the entire weekend in bed just trying to sleep after already being up 2 days straight, till my mom showed up and my roommate let her in to drop of sleeping pills. So like, struggling with just 24 hours without it being like super strenuous or anything (like 12+ hours of extreme concentration on a speed run) is just bonkers and happens far too often for me

The Ori games do fantastic autoscrollers. They put enough pressure on you to perform, and they *can* be frustrating, but success makes you feel incredibly good at the game, even when they're simple.
