I once asked a French native straight up how come they are so poor at speaking English. He agreed, but told me that English is *not* mandatory in school. 😮‍💨You have to pick it as an "extra class", so it must be priority question... I think it should be mandatory to have English classes in Elementary School, at least here in Europe. /A Dane
