Honestly, not bad at all. I'd be interested to see if they have single unit options as well, doubtful, but would be nice. How discreet they are is a really big selling factor combined with efficiency - I mean obviously they need to provide good sound quality but majority of companies do so that's almost a given these days. 24bit isn't a deal breaker in the slightest. I'm also interested to see how it performs clipped to a hat (or even if that's possible). Good stuff!

It’s strong! I don’t think it’s possible it would fall off unless you physically pull on it!

hi fantastic review, could you plz tell is this M2S can be use as separate sound recorder without using any camera \phone?, i'm looking for a smallest powerful mic and recorder for audio interviews in field recordings. i hv dji mic 1 and that can record separately but size is big and light in front is not helping me.

Unfortunately, there's no internal recording inside the M2S, just like the M2. The Lark Max does have recording but it's similar size to the DJI Mic so probably not a good fit if you want smaller!

No problem! No, only the Lark Max has internal recording. The latest wireless mics with internal recording I know of are: DJI Mic 2 (32 bit) Rode Wireless Pro (32 bit) Hollyland Lark Max (24 bit) They are all similar size, so I guess the recording part of the design must be quite big :(

I think they’ve given it a bit more high end because people may hide it under their clothes making it more muffled? But yeah I feel you, out of the box it does sound brighter!
