Oh good, you can watch me be a stubborn idiot and refuse to switch to the lure that is working! 🤣

You know what, guys? Great video! Like a few other people said, thank you for sharing your exact spots and lures used! That's what fishing SHOULD be all about! Too often today it's not, sadly. I'm hoping to make my first ever trip up there this coming summer, and I will definitely be referring to your video here for sure! I subscribed to you your channel!

Dale is such a fun lake with so many options, that often the challenge for me is narrowing down a pattern in all of the choices! I hope you have great success and I'm glad you liked the video! Thanks! -Melissa

Sharing info with each other. Wish more people thought like that. They act like everything is top secret. Great videos

Thanks! I have started following the facebook pages for the lakes we fish, and the Lake Chickamauga group is really good about sharing info. One trip we were really struggling for a bite, so I posted for advice, got a flood of messages, and used that info (shaky head senko) to catch fish the rest of the trip! Now if only we had resources like that for other lakes.

You go girl!!!, awesome video, thanks for sharing all the info, hopefully will go to Dale in the next couple of weeks, i would love to try for some walleye, always get skunked on the marble eyes no matter where i try, Normandy, Tims ford, center hill you name it, but will try dale for some big shellcraker and of course smallies, beautiful bronze fish on one of the most beautiful lakes anywhere

Thanks! And good luck at Dale! I've never caught a walleye, that gives me something to aim for on my next Dale trip. We have saugeye in my local river, so I have caught some of those while fishing for smallies... they tend to hang out near the same fast-moving riffles apparently, but I'd love to catch my first walleye. :) -Melissa

Loved you video and all the great advise. I live in Pittsburgh and fish Lake Erie a lot for Walleye & Perch. We just bought 1-1/2 acres in Celina and are building this summer to retire down in Celina in a couple years. Hope to hook up with you guys some day. Wanted to ask you where I can get that map you showed us at the end. Would love to get on up here to look over. Thanks and FISH-ON

You guys are so lucky to be settling in Celina! That map is from Atlantic Mapping, they have a whole series of waterproof maps. Scott got his at Backwater Outfitters in Lexington, KY, but you can either order them over the phone directly from Atlantic Mapping, or online through various places...they should be around $9 each. And thanks for the subscription! I subscribed back, and look forward to your future videos! :) - Melissa

The wife and I are going down Thursday for 3 days. Any pointers you can give us. Our first trip down there.

I've only fished Dale about 5 times, so far from an expert, but I would say you will probably find fish in all stages of the spawn, so look for those secondary points, the points with access to deep water close to the shallow spawning coves. Pre and Post spawners should be staged on those points. When I go with Scott, we throw opposite styles to help figure out the pattern, he is better with finesse and I a better with moving baits, and we have caught plenty on both styles there. Although on the trip in this video, to catch smallmouth, we had to drag Senkos on shakey heads around wood. Check the water temps... it might be close to topwater time down there! Nothing better than topwater smallmouth! Have a great trip and catch some big ones! :) -Melissa

have some heavy rains this week? waters stained a little which most lakes would be about right but dale hollow more times than not is like fishing in a gin bottle the waters so clear in spots.
@GirlGoneFishing6 жыл бұрын
It didn't rain while we were there, but you are right, the water was really dirty by Dale Hollow standards. The water was up too, so it must have rained before we got there.

@@GirlGoneFishing Is early april any good for fishing ?
@GirlGoneFishing5 жыл бұрын
Should be a great time to fish! You might have to deal with spring rains and the subsequent muddy water, but you should be able to still find fish staging for pre-spawn and ready to eat.
