🙋 Me personally, I grew up watching Pennsylvania outdoor life when I lived up there in Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania and also when I lived in Whitehall Pennsylvania at the time. Also I miss watching the show right here on Sunday nights at 6:30 to 7:00 pm I believed it was back then. It was a fantastic show and we all loved it and we all miss it, I wish some Network would pick this up and put it back on television where it belongs. Pennsylvania outdoor life is one of those shows that is really great to watch, also they give you so much information on everything and stuff that's going on in your community as well. So much great memories of watching this. I'm glad it was on back then

man I live on the Susquehanna river near Harrisburg and I cherish every musky I catch....I cant stress enough that if you catch one by accident or if your targeting them you gotta get them back in the water as fast as possible and hold them in the water until you feel them start kicking on there on and staying upright....catch and release everything people the fish will thank you so will the anglers

Hi. I really enjoyed the video, I think you should add a little more festive music to your videos and some excitement special effects. You guys already catch a good amount of fish, I just think this will add more to your videos. Anyway, I am gonna look through other vids on your channel. Thanks.

As you are aware Palpatine55, it is a dangerous river if you don't know it's hazards. As long as one knows where a propped boat can run safely, it is! Actually, most of the aluminum boats that are used on the river aren't any more puncture resistant than a glass boat. In some aluminum boats the aluminum is so thin that a glass boat is less susceptible to getting a hole on impact! I have personally never had a problem running my boat in the Suky, but I know this part of the river EXTREMELY well!

continued...which no matter how you look at it is much safer than any fiberglass boat....the aluminum will kink along where the transom meets the back of the hull....fiberglass will blow up. Ask the two guys that I saw wreck their glass prop boats the week after outdoor life did a smallmouth special on the area up by P&G.....if you wanna fish the river, get a jet...I have a smokercraft 171 probass with a 90/65 jet...and even with it was as low as it was this year fished wherever I wanted to

medium sized tube jigs (like gitzits), supper-flukes, in-line spinners, and senkos are my go-to small-mouth baits. If the small-mouth are really finicky a suspending jerk bait (like the shadow rap or the husky jerk) will usually drive them crazy after a while and get them to bite if you jerk it with a long enough pause.
@jslap115 жыл бұрын
Change your color, size, or speed of your retrieve. Or some combination of the three. Try slow, small lures in dark colors first, then expand when you find what works. That's the essence of fishing. If you're not catching fish off small dark lures, try small bight lures in sliver or gold. If that doesn't work, turn the music down and stop stomping all over the boat.

It looks like you ran your boat from the launch to the Rt 29 bridge.... do you prefer going further upstream from the bridge or do you drift down from the bridge past the launch?
@boydsnepaguidingservice7 жыл бұрын
If I launch in Tunkhannock, I might fish anywhere from falls to Meshoppen. Just depends on alot of variables. Covering that much water is not possible with an outboard propped boat under most water levels in the Susquehanna. A jet is a must.

@jimplishka325112 жыл бұрын
palpatine55....I fish the river exclusively. I used to have a prop boat, and got rid of it to open the river up to myself. Some of what trev777777777 is sayin is true, some is not. There are some limited areas you can run with a prop, such as the long pool he is fishing down from the bridge in tunk. The beauty of the river is the scenery and diversity of species available, and low pressure. Furthermore any new aluminum boats are welded, meaning they are at least .10" aluminum....

Jesus, that musky will be dead in an hour. 1 don't gill a musky 2 support the body, don't let it dangle 3 if you don't have the gear to land it fast/less stress, cut it loose 4 slime cost on a musky is very important, letting it slide around on the carpet, bad for the fish.
