This place holds a special place in my heart. Fished the river for 20 years or so. It was so special to my dad he requested his ashes be spread on the river, his request was made. I know he will always be with me there. Great fishery. We stayed in Clayton every year, never went to the lake, fished the bays and islands and would catch 25lb bags every day. The wind can be tricky as the current as well. My dream is to get back to the river one day soon. Thanks for the memories Scott! Seeing Bolt Castle and the entire Clayton area and as you drove out in the boat I literally could picture it all, like hey stop there and catch ‘em!

Love watching you fish Scott, I grew up watching your dad on Sunday morning TV. I want to see all you guys go back to fishing like the old guys used to. I feels like you have it way to easy with all these electronics. You literally watch the fish go to the lure. It seems unfair. Where is the surpriser and the anticipation of the bite. Will keep watching your channel because I enjoy it.

You should stay more relaxed like you are right now practicing when you're in the middle of the tournament. I know for a fact that it is a lot easier said than it is done but you seem so tense and stressed out from the time you turn your boat on till the time you put it on the trailer during the tournament. Sometimes you lose fish right at the boat, they may jump and spit the hook.. whatever the issue is or whatever happens and sometimes I think it throws you in a fizzy because you're stuck in that moment sometimes. And I've been subscribed to you for a very long time and I watch every single one of your tournament videos. And I can see a difference in you on your travel blogs / practice vlogs versus your tournament videos. And you're laughing whenever a big one gets it and takes off and your drag is zipping, and you lean over the side of the boat and you scoop it up like it's no big deal.. somehow someway you need to be able to figure out how to carry that over into your tournament days. And like I said I know that it is extremely easier Said than it is done. And you've got way more experience than I do fishing at that level. But it's more like an observation more than it is advice.... Regardless keep doing you, keep being who you are, stay safe hope the best for you and the fam.. hope everybody's doing well. Tight lines always ✌️🤪🎣👍💪

I somewhat agree. There making to much sponsor money because they've become lazy with there prefishing. I've watched for a long time as well. But that's there choice. But the goal he has set won't happen unless he gets back to grinding. Competition is to advanced now days.

That's no the first Golden smallmouth I've caught several before in Michigan that gold color. I've also caught a couple red smallmouth and yes red. I caught them in the big culvert pipes off the back side of a small damn. The color of the rocks and dirt was red so over time these smallmouth were just adapting to there surroundings. They were big smallmouth as well 18 to 19 inches. But they were pretty nice and red like there eyes fins as well. I've caught some almost a green color and real dark dark brown almost black real dark and some light brown and tiger striped.

What app were you using on your iPad when you were running? Navionics app? Google maps app? I've been trying to figure out an app you can use on your phone or on your iPad when you're on the water that will show you the lake and show you moving in real time..... And let me add I have humminbird.. Helix.. so the app they have FISH SMART doesn't work like that. At least from what I've heard.. do you have any advice with that particular area if you had an Android phone? I mean I've got a lake Master chip in my graph. And of course it shows my track. But I'm looking for something that has a satellite imagery showing the lake where you can zoom in and zoom out with your fingers like you do on your iPad or your phone and it actually show you moving in real time..
