SmallRig Budget-friendly Video Tripods: AD-50 & AD-50 LITE

What kind of quick release plate is on the AD-50? The PL501 will not fit

AFAIK, it's Manfrotto standard and I can confirm it's compatible with all the Manfrotto plates (from Manfrotto and 3rd party) that I own.

Hi, Ray! My first visit to your channel. Well done, just that I expected a bit more relaxed impressions and verdict after the specs. The head of the Light version - does it have a locking mechanism or not? OK, I get it, the tilt and panning movements are not adjustable, but can you completely fix the head movement if you want to, so that camera doesn't move at all (like on a photography ballhead?). What is the advantage of the non-Lite version that makes you use it more? Carbon fiber but the total weight is the same, all right 6 kg instead of 5 kg load is some difference, and 5 cm taller, that seems to be all. Thanks.

Great price for those for sure, good for a b-roll cam! Question: at 6:00 in your studio, those two upright panels in front of you (to either side of the tripod), are those 'sound panels'?

Hi Jason. Good value, I think. Yes, those are acoustic panels. I made half-a-dozen a few years back: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4WwgHakadJ8hKc They work well. The two you see there sit on wooden stands I made as gobos. As you can see, I also backed them with Plasticore so they double as reflectors ... or negative fill used felt-side-out.
