@@ssgssme5189 nothing that has come out for any of the comic movies/shows have compared to how memorable smallville is. the MCU made some of the best movies in comic history but they wont be as memorable as smallville is. memories make movies last not money. same with shows. plus the arrowverse and all those others were never origin stories. just hero shows.

That is also an excellent show that shows the origins of Batman and Gotham City in such a compelling way, with certain villains being massive standouts like Penguin and Riddler, who are both some of my favorite t.v characters of all time. And although I love Smallville, Gotham has much more consistent writing with virtually no filler episodes after the fist season. It gets the Art Deco vibe of Batman down to a tea with it taking place in a timeless, impossible to pin down world. Just remember the show isn’t trying to exactly match the way things were in the comics or movies, it’s trying to tell it’s own story in it’s own universe with it’s own rules. I know this seems obvious but for some reason everybody decided to stigmatize the show for this precise reason. In spite of people being perfectly willing to accept that countless other superhero movies and shows take place in their own universe, Gotham has some weird curse where people can’t quite seem to wrap their head around it for some reason. So just don’t fall into that trapping and also remember the show isn’t trying to be about Batman but about the world he inhabits, and trust me you will really enjoy it.

As a reminder, at Henry's 'Jimmy' Olsen funeral, the priest called his real name as "HENRY Olsen".

I get goosebumps and chills EVERYTIME I rewatch this episode, but by far the biggest chills and excitement I feel is the last scene, from everything in the DP, right to the rooftop. Along with the classic Superman soundtrack, it's a complete homage to the classic comics. I go nuts eveytime

For a show, especially a sci-fi show to last 10 entire seasons, an entire decade is truly an amazing achievement. Smallville was so good that no amount of real life drama can ever sully what it has become. It never fails to entertain. I have seen the episodes probably dozens of times now and they still captivate me. My favorite part of the series was from season 4 onward. Once Lois entered Clark's life that WAS Superman for me. Nothing since has even come close for me. Truly a series that is one of the best sci-fi shows of all time! No doubt about it.

To me this is my favorite episode of the series, I know many were upset he never wore the suit but I never expected him to, they said “No tights, No flights” that montage where you see highlights of the series still gives me goosebumps even 9 years later, I predicted the final shot back in season 2 of him running towards the screen & opening the shirt, overall this finale was a perfect 10 for me.

This finale is just killer- they really jam packed so much but were able to balance it so well with Clark's own journey to becoming Superman, all the other characters- Lois' own story arc too, as well as the beauty of clois and their unwavering love for each other. That shot of them in the airplane and how she saw him in the suit for the first time- like he told her in 8.19 that she would be the first to know about him once he was ready to come out to the world. And then that DP scene- it encompassed everything- their natural banter we've seen since season 4, that delicious flirtation that's grown but is still them to the core but just a more grown up version because they're still together and happy years later. IT'S A LOT. Wow this was a great journey to go on again. Thanks for all the video reactions! Your love for Lois and clois was definitely the draw haha

It's freaking awesome and amazing. I remember watching an interview where Terrance Stamp who voiced Jor-el also played Zod in the Christopher Reeve Superman movies. The first time on set he wanted to see the fortress of solitude set. He freaking loved it. That suit actually was worn by Brandon Routh as Clark Kent/ Superman in the Superman returns movie. I binge-watched all of your reactions to Smallville for like a week. You are so hilarious, I haven't laughed out loud like that in a while. Definitely a great finale, and it's been really cool to see how much you've enjoyed this series. It wasn't perfect, but it's still my all-time favorite superhero show, with Daredevil (Netflix) being a very close second. Any idea what series you're gonna be reacting to next? I'd hope it's something similar to Smallville. By the way, would you consider doing a video on your thoughts on the series as a whole? I'd be interested in seeing that. Personally, my biggest issue was how long the writers dragged out the will they/won't they with Clark and Lana.

You need to watch Clark's cameo in the CW's crossover event entitled "Crisis On Infinite Earths". However, you could wait until you watch all the other shows (primarily Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends Of Tomorrow) to understand the context of his cameo. All the shows kind of happen simultaneously so if you watch all of Arrow then all of Flash etc. etc. the crossover episodes (they do one each season) happen usually midway through each season. I'd honestly look up what episodes of what seasons every crossover has happened in so that you can watch them the best way possible.

It could just be another earth with Clark and Lois looking like in Smallville. There's more than one earth with Superman looking like Brandon Routh as well.

All good things must come to an end. It's been fun watching your reactions to the greatest show of all time. I'm looking forward to your journey through Supernatural now. If you want something similar to Smallville check out Merlin. It's a show that started in 2008 and ran for 5 seasons. It has a very similar tone and the showrunners have admitted that Smallville was a heavy influence on them.

Smallville had what I think the majority of the CW shows don't, and that's genuine storytelling with a lot of heart. I'm not a fan of the Arrowverse shows, with the exception of Black Lightning and parts of Legends of Tomorrow because they've become too focused on romantic subplots and catering to fans and writing a good story has fallen by the wayside. Arrow to me is a complete failure. I'm a huge Green Arrow fan and growing up reading his comics and seeing the Smallville version, I could not stand the Batman wannabe they turned Oliver into. I'm not against going in a different direction as long as the essence of the characters are there and I see nothing of the Green Arrow in that version. But to each their own. Smallville was a one of a kind show, where even if I didn't love every episode, I still appreciated the story and character consistency. Everything always felt natural and not forced. Plus it gave us the best Lex Luthor ever put on screen and I'd also argue the best Lois Lane put on screen. Michael Rosenbaum gets a lot of credit (as he should, he's perfect) but man. Erica Durance was a force of nature. She's the only Lois Lane who isn't a damsel in distress all the time. They tried that with Amy Adams in Man of Steel and BvS, but Clark saved her at every turn. Erica's Lois kicked ass and saved Clark's more than once! She's the epitome of what a strong female character should be. God, I love this show.

Dang so many cool moments love the Clark Martha Jonathan moment Clark lex moment lex is back! Everybody is giving Clark pushes. Love the showdown with darkseid love Clark seeing his trials love seeing lex losing all his memories love seeing jorel and Jonathan giving Clark the suit I'll always hold on to smallville love seeing Clark fly period but especially changing into suit love him saving plane Lois seeing him love him pushing away apocalypse too bad didn't get to see more of that or a good shot of him in suit but like Tom said it isn't about that love the flashforward seeing Clark and Lois love bumbling Clark been ready oh my god the music so epic love the ending perfect finale love this show can't wait to rewatch it again lol the comics are cool had to get them when they came out they stopped after a while I was like whyd they stop but like the show had to end sometime I loved them including smallville in this last cw crossover that was a short cameo but I still loved seeing Clark and Lois again after all these years so cool wish there was more and they got michael back but at least we got something. That's what my mom did. She watched smallville but didnt get into all these other shows but when she heard smallville had a cameo she watched it on KZbin. I watched the whole crossover loved all the various tie ins it has to other comic properties i still watch the smallville part on KZbin they have Clark's bit in one video the only thing to trip you up is who's these people warnng him and the lex from supergirl your reaction might be like Clark's that's not really lex lol my favorite part of whole crossover was the smallville bit shoot i wanna watch it now lol

My favorite show of all time, hands down. I will say the CGI of him with the suit is the weakest part of the whole show. Michael Rosenbaum's Lex is the best Lex Luthor to ever been put on the screen. A damn shame he never got a call to portray him on the big screen.

This is one of my favorite tv finales. I've re-watched Smallville about 9 times since the show ended. However, there are a few things that still irk me about this episode: 1) Gold K is retconned to being able to permanently depower Clark just by touching it once; 2) Lex losing his memories; 3) Lex admitting that he knew that Tess was his sister all along despite clear sexual tension displayed between the two since s8 (while never on screen together, Tess definitely had sexual feeling for Lex when she was introduced and Lex spied on her in s8 while she was having sex; 4) the long distance CGI Superman; 5) I wish that they included something with the crowd as Supes flew over them towards Apokalpyse like with Oliver ramping the crowd up to inspire them at what they were seeing.

great finale! although i wished we got to see a close up of Tom wearing the full suit of being Superman but i think the network didn’t allowed that to the show because it is all about Clark Kent or Tom didn’t want to do it because he wants to be credited as Clark Kent and not Superman in the end idk

Tom became a very muscular guy and I think he'd agree to portray Superman after 10 years. But unfortunately The CW wants to show Superman only as a full-time Daddy who hasn't any chance against their new Supergirl.
