Notice how in smallville every time they introduced a character from the comics it was a great moment treated with greatness and respect. And then every time the arrowverse brought in a beloved character or actor they were shoved to the side or wasted completely just to make more room for useless side characters nobody likes.

This scene should be on the silver screen before a DC movie begins as a signature. This is another stand alone scene from Smallville!! 8 years ago I commented on this board. I still believe in this scene and Smallville. "Spock v Khan" still lives in me!!!! Tom Welling you knocked it out of the park with out saying a word.

This episode aired just 2-3 years after the Wacthman movie, so the idea was to translate the sweep of the movie to the small screen. It also simulates the passage of time the way Watchmen did, and its impact on the team.

This really is quite powerful. This scene itself really does take on a new meaning compared to when I originally saw it in the past. It is crazy how movies, series, and myths take on representations of real life. I have always believed in them. No matter what I come across, I always know there is always a lesson behind everything. Great video editing!

I think over all for the kind of show Smallville was they did a good job with the JSA and the JLA. I know when it comes to the JLA a lot of people got mad that Batman and Wonder Woman weren't ever on the show (other then Chole telling Clark that he will meet them in the future) but I understand why they didn't. If you put Batman/Bruce Wayne on that show then it would be 2 hard not to have him be a main character. It would have taken away from what the show was about. You can't have Batman on here with a small part like Cyborg because he's to important and you can't have him on here full time like Green Arrow because the fans would want him more then the Man of Steel.

This is quite honestly one of my favorite episodes of Smallville, because it shows so many amazing characters that DC has. The JSA has always been one of my favorite superteams, because they are like one giant family, each looking out for each other. And the heroes, their legacies reach all the way back to the 1940's, to when superhero comics were just starting out.

@miskatonic7634 жыл бұрын
Well the original Green Lantern's ring was powerless against wood. So all the Turnkey would have to do is whack him over the head with a night stick. Remember an unconscious Lantern can't use his will.
@FlamingoKicker4 жыл бұрын
@@miskatonic763Yeah, those Golden Age heroes had some whacked weaknesses (not that "yellow" is any great thing to be weak to). I think the ring could figure out a way around actually dealing with the wooden club though like maybe striking the policeman himself before the club could hit GL? BTW, weren't the rings sentient though and could make some decisions without the help of their living hosts? I rememeber when Hal Jordan was unconscious once his ring flew off to find his (temporary) replacement and found John Stewart. But those are the alien GLs and not the Golden Age GL so that ring might have different properties. Seems like it was magic instead of science.
