I'm a 61 year old woman and I was born and raised in an itty bitty isolated Idaho town in a Rocky Mountain valley. I use to camp quite a lot, I once had a small mountain lake all to myself for 3 days....the only one there. I went there to get away from people, their noise, and to just do some fishing. I took 2 books, a flashlight, a lantern, a revolver, my sleeping bag, a small cooler of food and my 2 dogs. My sent was about a 6 b 6 square with about a 3 foot wall. If I could still go camping (back injury stopped that) I would probably do it much of the same, but maybe with an LED lantern, rather than the hissing kerosene, and instead of books, I would probably take an audio book, but no movies or music, and my audio book would only be played for about 1/2 hour before I went to sleep. In looking at those gadgets in that video, there wasn't much that interested me, even if I could camp. I do miss those days.

@@kallista5194 I can see it now... People camping and watching a scary movie about a bear that tears his way though a campsite when all of a sudden a bear appears from stage left! His tooth in agony he tries to ask for a dentist but the city people don't speak wilderness tongue and think he's there to kill maybe even eat everyone! So they run and get the .22 rifle one woman brought to remind her of times hunting with Grandpa and to prove to Devon she can shoot. She fires two times hitting the bear bullseye, or rather bearseye, killing him instantly. (Pause for the honored dead.) The group packs up after talking with park rangers as the incident has rattled them all to the core especially after finding out the bear was a she and she has cubs...somewhere. I don't want to be a Cub orphaner, do you? Don't endorse watching scary movies while camping or this can happen to YOU.🤣 Yeah im really bored right now.

As for electric blankets, a simple wool blanket is quite warm, wool can absorb part of it's weight in water and remain warm, It is a gift from nature. I always have one in the car. I had to wait out an ice storm one night in the car, and it was much appreciated. Thankfully I had proper winter clothing. I also had a headlamp, hot coco, snacks and diapers! I also had a full tank of gaz and would warm up the car 15 minutes per hour. In this video I like the idea of the sleeping bag with openings for arms and feet, I could have used that as well in the car. The quilted seat protector for pet was also handy, but I would have preferred the sleeping bag. If you have sewing skills you can make arm holes yourself.

Definitely me. Watching a nice view is only enjoyable for a very limited amount of time, so after a decent hike and some food, i need to unwind with some actual entertainment before going to bed. Although something around the size and weight of the Acer "PV12a" portable projector (460g - 11,5 x 11,5 x 3,6cm) would be about the limit of what i would carry. Some lightweight and compact cinema glasses (100-150g) would be ideal. Even just a regular phone can be pretty cool, considering it has the ability to install games, apps for making music, ebook readers, etc, without adding any more weight than what i would bring anyway.

@@mikelinniii1186 Why do you assume i have the same reasons for going camping as you do? Enjoying some entertainment at the end of the day, is kinda like coming home after a long day hike, and putting on ones favorite show - only im still out in nature, in a tent or a hammock. I dont know what you do to make time pass after you set up camp, but i just like to hike until it starts to get dark, set up camp, and get some food. After this there is not much else to do - unless i bring some form of entertainment. Just sitting there thinking is not gonna work for me 😏

If you're rich enough to afford most of this stuff, might as well just bring along a battery-powered anthropomorphic AI robot that can chop wood, prepare gourmet 5-star meals, scare away bears, and massage your feet while you watch movies on a huge projection screen in the middle of the woods.

Yes, lots of these camp idea don’t seem like camping-Heck Renting a cabin isn’t the same anymore! When we were kids there WAS NO TV NO WASHER & DRYER-WE HAD DADS RADIO -the excitement was HIGHSCHOOL BASKETBALL BROADCASTED. He liked it-some still do. We Had Books & WE SAW THE AURORA BOREALIS IN COLOR‼️BUT TODAY IF YOU HAVE A RENTAL-YOU NEED WASHERS AND DRYERS AND WIFI AND COLOR TVS . One renter asked how do you turn on the AC. YOU GO OVER TO THE WINDOW. Ya then what? YOU OPEN THE WINDOW!! AND FEEL THE COOL AIR FROM THE OCEAN!! THATS WHY YOUR ON THE OCEAN! (They were from Georgia so all they do is turn on the AC and stay SHUT IN-ignoring the OUTSIDE! THEN THERE ARE CAMPGROUNDS WHERE SOME PEOPLE SHOW UP WITH HOUSE ON WHEELS & THE LAZ-E-Boy OUT SIDE-So a Outdoor Projector would be exciting-also Camps for Teens in NH where they have Movie night or Even renters who are Plugged in! (DID YOU KNOW COLLEGE KIDS HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PHYSICALLY ADDRESS AN ENVELOPE ‼️ so IMAGINE TENTING ! (OF Course I tented in a BANISHED -You go over there-I decided to /sleep in the car with the Backseat down-I WAS BY A STREAM-BY MORNING THAT STREAM WAS HALF WAY UP MY HUBCAPS!! SO I NO LONGER SLEEP ON THE GROUND ANYMORE ‼️

What your portable propane fireplaces fail to mention and in fact lie about is that they are not safer for the forest because when camping responsibly, you pick up twigs and debris in the forest to burn at your campfire, so you are cleaning up the forest and preventing wildfires. Have you seen a propane canister explode? Rare, but it happens. I use a portable campfire without propane. Help keep the forests clean and be responsible. Always have water and a shovel nearby.

I camped in the tent section of an ocean front campground in my tent. A massive camper trailer pulled in next to me. I saw the dad for a few minutes as he hooked everything up. Then he left for the beach with his fishing pole. I didn't see the wife and teens the rest of the weekend. They stayed inside the trailer for the next two days. Probably watching tv or movies. Can a tent stop a bear attack? No. Therefore a tent is really a worthless product. It can keep you “dry” relatively speaking… great. Can it keep you warm, or safe from falling tree limbs, or aforementioned bear attacks, or excessive heat? No? A small trailer would be a better investment if a person is planning on dropping $2,000 or $3,000 on a shelter (I.e. a 2mm thick tent).

While I love the idea of a huge inflatable tent, I feel like they would be subject to the same problem as inflatable air mattresses: When the air is warm, they are nice and rigid. When the air cools down, like in the middle of the night, they go flat. Had this problem so many times I don't even use inflatable anything for camping anymore. Even the inflatable paddle board has to be pumped up again after it sits on the lake for a little while and the water cools it down. Then when you take it out of the water, it warms up so you have to be sure to let out some air so it doesn't rip a seam. Again, love the IDEA of inflatables, but practically speaking, I haven't had reliable luck.

Wow 😲Ive literally never seen so many negative comments from people who expected camping stuff for regular hikes, and felt like they needed to express their disapointment when they instead got a video about stuff you may want to bring for car camping or van life 😅

Only what I need to get good camping: wc/bathroom with warm water, electricity, tv, laptop, microwave, bug-free bed space😅

Giga matress and tent would be way more impressive in that small size if the air mattress was the tent floor instead of sold separately.

I never still see any of these inventions. Then again, im not rich, sadly. So this is america currency? I live in America. Also, i wish they would say the date on when this will come out everywhere and where to get it. Also, we go by ferinehit, not Celsius, so i never get when people say Celsius.

If they bring all them gadgets it's no longer "camping". It's being outdoors with tech. A vehicle for packing in all these things, the means to keep them all clean, and in working condition. Also, if you need electricity to enjoy the day. You don't know how to enjoy a day because youve haven't ever had one.

Why can't you provide links to these items? I can't find the sink that you featured. What's the point of giving this information without providing the possibility for your audience to do more research?
