Apples case solution for their all new line of iPads comes in at the premiums cost of $79 for what looks like just a big piece of silicon, at this steep price one could by Herschels pop quiz, the best backpack for daily use! Is it worth this premium price point or another example of apple taking a cheap product, slapping its logo on it, and doubling its price?

For my situation this case works perfectly for my iPad Air 5 I don’t really bring it anywhere except for during travel And overnight stays most of the time I keep it at home and I take out my phone plus it looks nice

just bought my iPad Pro Smart Folio for two weeks everything is perfect except for the poor protection around the iPad, I’m just missing the old iPad leather cases

Silicone and polyurethane are two different kinds of material. It seems that you used their terms interchangeably. Polyurethane as a material for cases or keyboard covers is a more durable material. If you see the term “PU leather”, it refers to polyurethane leather which some case makers use to make their products. You also find it common in modern car seats.

PU in Apples covers is just terrible quality. These covers last a few months and start to show rinkles, bubbles and look just plain ugly. There are far better products available, in real leather, from Torro. And they are cheaper too.

Short answer, HELL NO, no one should buy this. I just got mine and I am ANGRY that I spent $100 on this piece of flimsy crap. It feels like when I bought my Logitech keyboard that cost me $100 and the thing was flimsy as hell, it felt like a binder cover and some of the keys didn't work. I just initiated a return; I didn't keep the keyboard and I am not keeping this sh8t iPad case.

Question really is. Your case (and iPad :P) is pretty nasty. How does the case respond to cleaning and wear? Apples old smart covers were pretty much unusable after a little while due to edges crumbling and material degrading.

I have the exact same experience with smart covers. I used 4 of them in 3 years on an iPad Pro 2017. They rinkle, bubble and just look plain ugly after a few months. PU is just garbage material, but earlier smart covers were better.
