Hello! I have been watching all your videos as I lay in my hospital bed, it's helping me stay sane! I have been around a few cars that had motorcycle engine conversions and yours is very well done! Only thing I can think of that you might want to look into is getting a oil pan with the swinging pickup. In a bike they rely on the bike leaning for the oil system to work properly, in a car the engine stays flat and the oil does not go where it is needed so the flat pan with the swinging pickup fixes that. I have had to repair a couple engines that ran dry from tracks with big corners like Willow Springs in California. Also the output shaft is the weak spot of the Hayabusa. With the added weight of the car and sticky big tires they can snap and most of the time they will take out the case and water pump. There are a few places that make billet shafts that work well. Personally I have broke a couple stock ones on motorcycles when I put real sticky tires on to go racing. I might have missed it but the clutch slave cylinder that mounts on the sprocket cover is another weak spot. Anything more than stock springs in the clutch will make the cover break. A aftermarket cover is a must, or at a minimum a support can be made. They sell one on a couple of the places like APE and Shintz but you can whip one up pretty easy. *edit* went back and saw where the cover broke when bleeding the system, that will happen again without a support or billet cover. Great Project! Enjoyed the videos very much.

Viny, If you want to remove the VW cv joint from the shaft and you have version with the screws (not apply to nut ones) you can do it without hammer. When you remove the cv axle use same screw that is used to assemble the cv joint and tighten it to end - cv joint should jump off :) voila. Great content!

Hi Viny, good work as always ! You should ask your friend to try his 225 tires before going to 245. I think you'll have too much tire for the weight/downforce of your car. 245 will take forever to heat. I'm also concern that all the extra grip will also cost you a lot on the straights... YES you can have too much tire on a race car !
@VinyB57
@VinyB57 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Phil! I get your point! But I'm planning on getting really aggressive aeros on the future for this car, for getting heat into the tires, it won't be a problem....but that's gonna be after the turbo. So maybe this summer, without aeros and motor HP, I'll struggled with tire temp...will see!

Another awesome video Viny! Love the idea of the next project - I guess I was really close with my guess of a Kuka rollercoaster! What a fun design! I suspect that the cylinder counterweight is a water filled barrel that can easily be adjusted for the person (victim) attached to the end of the arm? Another barrel on the trailer with a pump to transfer the water would make for an easily adjustable counterweight. You have a fun sense of humor and your accent is great, eh?
@VinyB57
@VinyB57 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Keith, you were the closest with your guess of the arm robot BUT, you re completely out of the track with the barril of water...simply cause during winter in Canada, water freezes 🤣 But seriously, good guess with the barril, Im gonna used bags of rocks, that I can removed and add

I like the new project, it looks like a lot of fun. One problem that I noticed right away though. If the counterweight is to heavy and it lifts you up, how do you get down? And, how do you pull it down to attach the harness in the first place? Looking at your diagram I think I see what looks like a giant pully, so maybe some sort of rope is used to pull yourself down and adjust the balance point? Anyway, it looks like it will be a blast. I seem to remember seeing something like this in old OMSI or NASA videos for getting used to zero G. Will be a fun build. How long is that arm, and will it clear the vehicle that is towing the trailer, without banging into low bridges? 🤔
@VinyB57
@VinyB57 2 жыл бұрын
Ah! you have too many good questions! I didn't wanted to fully explain the next big project, but simply, too lower a person, there's a boat crane at the bottom. The arm is 33' long and it's fold into 2 parts for '' transport'', not that I want to move or rent the thing, but at least to be able to put it somewhere on my property, out of the view of the neighbors. And yes, it goes under bridges, again, not that I want to tour with it...but just in case I got to move it to a new property or something....yep, too many good questiions..😅👌

Great content! But there was no need to weld up the brake discs the holes don't do anything but allow the bolts to pass trough. The wheels clamp them in place and the load is transferred trough the surface friction.
