Smart Tuya Zigbee presence and lighting sensor. Review.

Tuya Zigbee presence and lighting sensor ZY-M100-L and ZY-M100-S are used to turn on lighting devices.
But they can also be used in other scenarios.
The devices are built on a microwave FMCW radar that allows you to measure range and speed.
Microwaves pass through plastic, wood, plasterboard, gas blocks and concrete. They do not pass through metal, but they pass through a mirror.

I have the Wifi Ceiling version. It works fine. I instslled in tje kitchen. Some when anybody approaches, the kitchen lights are on. Off when everybody leaves the kitchen. The ad said the the sensor is in addition capable to identify some human gestures, but i have not found duch setting yet.

I'm searching for a fast mmwave sensor to automate stair lights, but it has to be good with distance measurement so it doesnt trigger when someone is walking by the stairs. It would be good to find tuya zigbee proximity sensor

How come the ZigBee network is so slow? Shouldn't it be refreshing within a second or so? I use smart lights and have a 5 second delay when controlling them via wifi/cloud. I thought using Zigbee would take less than a second to update smart devices. Also does this sensor detect and update light quickly? Or do they take as long as updating lighting data (over several seconds). Please let me know, thanks 😊

To work with ZigBee devices you need a ZigBee gateway. What gateway are you using?

I agreed that ZigBee should be faster if you make the automation run locally. showing info into app requires cloud transfering but automation(scene) could be experimented if you use another ZigBee light as the action.

in tuya app, for each of the scene, click on the more settings, then you will know if the scene is being decided to run locally or via cloud

It should not react to animals - the energy of the reflected signal is low.

I have the ceiling version, but I don't like the fact that it is powered by AC Mains 110-120V. I'd rather use low voltage. I hope they re-release those.
