This is my first full length smart walk video! I am going to start posting videos of my walks so people can see every little detail of the process and get a better understanding of what a "smart walk" really is.
This walk is with my friend's yellow lab, Bentley. This is Bentleys first time walking with an ecollar so i put text in the video for you to be able to know when I'm pressing it. The ecollar level i use for him is mostly between 5 and 30, depending on his adrenaline level for each moment. Basically, I use the ecollar to apply pressure when Bentley walks ahead of me, pulls off to the side, sniffs the grass, and when i want him to sit.
I stop to give Bently a potty break and a water break along the way, but the majority of a smart walk involves the complete structure of walking beside me. This way of walking, puts Bentley in a "follower state of mind" which allows me to have full control of this 90lb Labrador!
Bently and I enjoyed our walk in downtown West Palm Beach, FL. The views of the intracoastal while walking down Flagler st on this September morning were gorgeous! 😍
I hope you enjoy the raw footage instead of clipped together in fast motion like most walks on youtube. If this fascinates you like it does me, be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel for more smart walk videos!
