Holy crap....you are THOROUGH!! The kicks, the toilet, the jumping around, the rolling, I couldnt ask for a more thorough run-down of how practical this holster is and your logic is sound. I also loved what you said "it should not be your FIRST line of defense, it should be your last." well played, sir. You've converted me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such a thorough, real world review/demonstration of this holster. I had seen so many other reviews that left me with more questions than answers. I was about to dismiss this holster and decided to watch one more video. You covered everything very thoroughly. One major point that you bring out that most people dismiss is concerning situational risk and the 'quick draw'. Most of us will never have to draw our weapons our entire lives. There are many good holsters out there. After weighing the risk probabilities versus the pros and cons of each holster, many will find this a very good option. Smart carry should link your video on their website. I bet they would sell a lot more of them. I then watched some of your other videos. Great content. SUBSCRIBED.

This is actually a really good review. I personally use a rigged up bandolier/underarm holster from an iwb kydex. I have a knockoff smart carry that was cheap to try out and its a close second. Id recommend smart carry for most folks. I also israeli carry unchambered for fear of my kids.

Bought a Smart Carry Holster for my CZ P10s. I love how they ask you what firearm you carry and if it has optics or a tactical light mounted on the rail.

Great review! I don’t like it when any part of my gun or kydex touches my skin when carrying holstered, so this type of carry method works best for me. I use the 3Speed holster and I love it, but the SmartCarry looks like it would work just as well. BTW, I’d hate to be the guy on the receiving end of those kicks. 😢

Great video lots of good points. But if you carry with empty chamber and you have to fire your gun and re-holster afterwards, then it’ll be loaded anyway. Are you going to clear your chamber and put the round back in the mag and re-insert the mag in the gun then re-holster after a defensive encounter? I agree gun is last resort not first resort, but empty chamber is slower than a Manual safety
@selfdefensejujitsu-mizumar7221
@selfdefensejujitsu-mizumar7221 2 жыл бұрын
Most guns don’t have manual safeties anymore like Glock’s and Springfield’s only have safeties on the trigger that is designed for reupholstering your weapon safely. If I had to pull my gun and use it you’re right I would just end up putting it back loaded but once I got to a safe and secure place I would take the bullet back out of the chamber yes. Thanks for watching and your comment. Stay safe God bless and happy holidays!

@selfdefensejujitsu-mizumar7221

The egnima holster is definitely a nice set up. It sits a lot higher up so it is easier to get to your gun but if you have a belly at all it’s going to be very uncomfortable when sitting. Other than that though I really can’t dog on it.

Is this a good holster option for a smaller female? Some of the reviews I saw said that even the women's version caused a significant bulge in that area that wasn't easily hidden or disguised, but some others said it was a great setup. IDK.

Hello Rose yes unfortunately this holster is not ideal for women. I tried to get my girlfriend one of these and it did not work for her at all and definitely imprinting showing a bulge. For women I would recommend this one here for concealed carry. 👇 www.cancanconcealment.com/collections/hip-hugger-elite-holsters

@@selfdefensejujitsu-mizumar7221 I have a couple of the CanCans, actually. One "classic" for standard subcompact models (G26, Shield Plus, P365XL, etc), one "micro" for micro-compacts (Sig P365, S&W CSX, Ruger LCP Max) and a "She-Bang" for larger/mid-size guns. I like the way they feel on my body even though I haven't started carrying with them yet (I just bought my Shield Plus and am still training with it), but I'm also looking for other options for deeper concealment in the event that the CanCan doesn't work as well in summer clothing (it gets super hot in TX, so layers aren't really doable). I've heard good things about the Phlster Enigma, but it seems a little intimidating right now since it appears to require a lot of adjustments and precision. I've thought about the Crossbreed Liberty band and Comfort Concealment belt as well, but I haven't seen many reviews on those.

Did you not watch the hole video? I showed three different holsters, if you want a quick draw go get one of them. You’re not living in a John Wick movie you don’t need to quickly whip your gun out on someone. You’re gun is supposed to be your last line of defense not you go to for when you’re scared, nervous or feel threatened. If you hear gunshots or screaming you’ll have plenty of time to pull your gun. And if your gun is your go to weapon for every situation than you lack confidence and need to go get some proper training.

Depends on the size of the gun really, but if it’s like a LCP max 380 or something to that size it’s practically invisible. The hellcat is fine while standing but ones sitting it definitely looks like you’ve got something going on down there 👇 if you know what I mean 😆

Which do you like better, Smart carry holster or Enigma holster ?
@selfdefensejujitsu-mizumar7221
@selfdefensejujitsu-mizumar7221 2 жыл бұрын
The Enigma holster sits up a lot higher and is more for physically fit people I find because the heavier you are the higher you have to hike it up onto your belly/chest just like how I was wearing it when I was sitting on the John in the video lol. The Enigma is a great holster though I’m not dogging on it by any means, I just find it to be to stiff for my liking and if you’re wearing any type of body armor you will not be able to wear it or have it as a quick back up gun because of how high up it sits so for me I still prefer the smart carry.

Finally, a KZbinr brings a reality check into the world. Oh, your draw is slow, WTF, if your gun draw will make a difference from 0.7 to 2.5 sec. you live in a John Wick movie and not in a real-life (nicely said). Sad that so many KZbinrs putting this into the world fast draw, fast draw, then shoot first - go to jail for life first. - First situational awareness and a gun is the LAST LINE of defense! Great point, too bad not too many views. One in the chamber or not? I like your kid's point (I see you train martial arts - hard to see someone taking a gun from you) and whatever your training situation is, if you train to rack the slide all the time then more power to you, you just must keep training like that so in the stressful situation you don't forget to rack the slide, I personally ok with one in the chamber (trust your firearm), the way I see its last resort and if I have to present that means I'm in big trouble.

He says “I don’t need to be able to pull my gun quick I’m not in a John wick movie” coming from the guy that spent the first 3 minute of the video doing a bunch of king fu kicks that were quite laughable.
