Unless you are getting cash back, you don't need the pin number. For most purchases, when you use the card, you just insert it or tap it and you are done. Maybe take some paper cash with you as a back up but you will be fine with the card! Enjoy the con!

It does have a stripe on it so theoretically you could swipe, but I think most machines will make you insert it because they want to use the chip instead.

If you're just using the card to make purchases, there is no fee from Cash App. You can run it through the machine as debit and credit and Cash App doesn't charge fees for this. It's possible that the store could have some kind of fee (but that's rare).

You generally don't need to, but the machine might ask for it. If the machine asks you for the pin, you can usually bypass it by pushing the green button.

You can't really transfer money straight from Cash App to another card. You can use the "cash out" button to send money to your linked bank account. That's really the only way to get money out of Cash App. You set up the bank account under your profile in linked accounts.

@@luvlylady55 I'm not sure why it didn't work at the ATM but checking the app is the best way to find your balance. When you open your app, the balance is always in the lower left corner.

Correct. You do not need your pin for every purchase. You would only use your pin if you're using it as "debit" not "credit". Most of the time, you're going to use it as credit and that's usually what the machine will default to.

I'm guessing it will probably be fine, but you might want to see if you can resubmit the form with your employer just in case. Worst case, it might not work for your first check and you'll have to fix it for the next one.

Most stores will actually let you press the green button to bypass the pin, but if you want to reset it, you can do it in the app. Go to the card tab (2nd tab) and scroll down to "change pin"

It could mean it's not activated. Or it could mean you don't have enough money in your Cash App to cover the charge. The card only uses the money that's already in your Cash App account. It won't pull from your external bank account.
