Bambi I want to encourage you to display your emotions in front of your children. I made the mistake of not crying in front of my kids after the divorce, using the strong black woman facade! Years later my kids shared with me their struggles because we didn’t talk to them about the situation, they just came home one day and their dad was gone and I was acting like nothing happened! They said the only time they saw me cry was in church and they didn’t know if the tears were happy or sad! I wish we had had your book back then!

This was a good interview. There’s always two sides and I’m glad Bambi got to share hers and give a little more perspective into her relationship with Scrappy. I felt every word she shared and what’s sad is that a lot of our black men have mommy issues and tend to look for those qualities in their women but it becomes cumbersome especially if they haven’t totally healed. People have been beating Bambi down for so many years about her past and just totally disregard Scrappy and his narcissistic, cheating ways. Like I’ve said on many social media comments LAHHATL is very Male Identified and it’s MADDENING!! Even in this interview with Amanda, Bambi is still protecting Scrappy and that says a lot about how we women coddle and protect the men we love even we they don’t love us black women the right way in return. If people go back & look at Bambi & Scrappy's relationship from the beginning you should clearly see how level-headed Bambi was when it came to her relationship. You should also see how Scrappy's character gradually changed for the good over time. I just hope things continue to get better for Bambi & the kids.
