I just sold my iphone 4s and bought this phone and I love it. The battery lasts just as long as the battery in my old iphone 4s. I can get 12 hours before having to charge my razr. I think it will be better later , but with it being new I have been playing with it allday..

Tip for viewers short on time: skip to 01:40 for beginning of unboxing, 05:02 for size comparisons, 07:35 for hardware tour, and 12:29 for brief software look. Fun fact: Droid Razr is the thinnest smartphone at the moment at 7.1mm, but Fujitsu will release an Android phone in Japan in January that's 6.7mm (modest specs tho). Questions: There's always a debate about screen sizes, but is it possible for a smartphone to be too thin? What's the sweet spot? Anybody pick/picking this up soon?

No problem I have a DROID X2. Great phone It had a bad start with a bunch of bugs and stuff, but since its beginnings, it's been upgraded to Android 2.3.5 and has gotten a lot of patches so now it works fine. Not having 4G isn't a problem for me, even with 4G service in my area. It's a gimmick, just a bit faster. I use WiFi more anyways, which is WAY faster. I recommend the X2, but there's tons of 3G phones still out.

Just ordered my droid razr in white today. Was debating between the droid razr or the samsung galaxy nexus. Both phones look beautiful but I went with the razr in white. Im not too updated on the OS, but hopefully like you said, they will release an update for 4.0. Other than that I am perfectly fine with 2.3 gingerbread. And thanks for the awesome review!!

i got the razr maxx, thing is a tank but i took it a step further, screen protector and a otter box defender case...thick phone now but i love it that it has some weight to it. without the case feels so light

@InvisiMan2006 I think many people would agree with that sentiment. It's definitely different. I wouldn't say it's unbearable or anything though. Also, the Galaxy S II is pretty thin, but feels much better because the back of the sides are curved, whereas the DROID RAZR sides are sharp/angular...

@Ninja26806 I guess it will be one of those things where people either hate or love it. It's such a departure from Motorola's usual stuff. I actually like the build quality and don't mind the looks. The in-hand feel doesn't really bother me too much, but I know plenty of people will find it awkward. I guess thinness comes at a price. I've only handled the Rezound for a short while, but the 720p display looks great! Both solid phones imo. :)

If you're already on Verizon, still keep an eye on Amazon... they have some great sales on upgrades about a month or two after a phone is released. Nice device to get in time for Christmas btw... :)

@tjscott87 Just a heads up.... Droid 4 could already be coming next month. Lots of leaks/rumors swirling around lately. It's essentially a thicker Droid Razr, but with a keyboard. Also, 4G LTE benefits web browsing, downloading and uploading. Much faster than Verizon's 3G. If you're in an LTE area, I would definitely go for a phone that has it. Verizon's already covered hundreds of millions of customers and they keep expanding every month.

@dan1996DO It's not the most comfortable device... You're basically just holding onto the sides of the phone. The back of the phone doesn't really make contact with the hand, at least in my case. The edges are angular, so that certainly doesn't help with in-hand feel. It doesn't make it completely unbearable, just not as comfortable as other phones. I guess that's the tradeoff for having a thinner/lighter phone. It has excellent build quality though.
