The setup process in smartphones is one of the most underrated aspects. This is where a lot of companies sneak in bloatware, their feature recommendations, adware and more. Well, we did an ultimate comparison of the setup process in OneUI, MIUI, RealmeUI, FuntouchOS, OxygenOS and Stock Android.
We are comparing these Android skins on budget phones. OneUI on Galaxy M32, MIUI on Redmi Note 10, Realme UI on Realme Narzo 30 5G, FuntouchOS on iQOO Z3, OxygenOS on OnePlus NORD CE 5G, and stock Android on Moto G60.

The main issue is that the guys at offline stores often complete the initial setup when you buy the device. And for finishing everything quick, they agree to every terms. After some time the phone ends up laggy full of ads and bloatware

I have actually bought iqoo z5 last month and surprisingly there weren't any such app recommendations page. It was just like realme ui. You do not buy a phone every day but you do watch unboxing videos regularly. Because whenever you buy a phone it is for you to use every day so it is imperative that it should be very good. And so it is. You do not have the permission required to post. but you are using a device that you have ever used. Fun fact.. there are 2 one uis.. core aka cheap and full aka flagship.. I haven't faced so much issues while setting up s20fe. All other uis are same across all devices.. be it 20k or 60k..

The M series run one ui core. It's setup experience is different. I have the a71 and I don't remember going through that many steps and those app recommendations weren't even a thing in my steps.

Yes buddy samsung a series targets offline so they put full version of one ui in under premium flagship specification in a series also software experience is excellent but frankly speaking m40 with one ui core is worst it lags a lot but I am using a33 full version of one ui when I first setup I was shocked no much of app recommended after setting Google account it asked to install or skip them all apps I skipped all bloatware there is no adds bloatware

Am happy and ok with extended, long set up process of One UI with no ads later on rather than quick set up process of MIUI and disabling ads by visiting every system apps and still getting ads.

One UI does have spammy notifications and even ads in some devices (removed in a lot of them though). And also you get a lot of bloatware even after this which Samsung often reinstalls after updating

Somehow my Galaxy Note 20 didn't have such a bad set up experience. It was smooth and they didn't recommend a single app, other than the calculator and Type C driver. I believe its a One UI Core issue and not a One UI issue
