[S] Karkat: Prepare to Strife
The hot blooded leader of the Troll’s Sgrub session has found his way into the Lawl battlefield! After seeing the Harley human and the Egbert human ascend, he found it fit to show his true ferocity in battle. He might not have the skill or godhood that they possess, but his fighting spirit may be more than enough to make up for it.
I want to add a little mini- tangent here; I’m going to be ignoring or deleting comments that just ask who’s next. I’m structuring my outros in a way that they don’t explicitly state SO AND SO IS NEXT! In bold text like I used to- I’m trying to go for a different approach of showcasing them. So please, don’t ask me who’s coming next. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. I’ll even make some hot cocoa.
I'm also debating on how to handle Tom and Matt... either upload them one at a time, like normal; or upload them both at the same time a-la ARL, which would take longer for them to come out. I dunno, might go with the former, but curious to feedback.

I'm not really the biggest fan of Homestruck, but Karkat's personality really made me enjoy this moveset! What I especially like is how you turned generic moves into ones with various effects, specifically the Side B. By my opinion, it wouldn't hurt to upload both Tom and Matt at the same time, considering how Edd's didn't take too much time to make. After them, I'd really like to see Dan Backslide!

Another great moveset for Beatdown. I think it surpasses John by a mile. The idea of making Karkat caused me some doubts as his powers aren't as well specified as John or Jade's, but this moveset ended up very well. I really liked the Neutral B for being another way of incorporating the Sylladex without copying, the Up B for not being a generic teleporter and the Final Smash is very unique and unseen. The intro and ending were also very funny. The intro captured Karkat perfectly and the ending shocked me as I could see that three characters from Homestuck have been made and one is being planned. To think that back when I made Jade's moveset everybody was confused on who she was...

Yeah, even though Karkat didn't have as many unique battle attributes like the Beta kids, I went for a set fitting his personality. I was excited to incorporate the Encryption modus. I also wanted to show off his vocal/abrasive side though the intro/outro/Homestar's outro/victories, since its a recognizable part of him- which was fun to do.Isn't it awesome to see how much Homestuck representation has increased in the Lawl scene? Its p nice to see.

Everything I know about Homestuck is basically thanks to Lawl. This one is great because succesfully represents the franchise and trolls in general, avoiding the bad moveset clichés like "press Side B to vehicle", "Up B is a regular teleportation" and "projectile is just a projectile".

Love the idea of a character switching their move if they've used a normal that involves that move (Side B). That could lead to a lot of interesting tech in competitive. Karkat is probably the most fun to play as character I've seen in Lawl Beatdown so far. Overall, one of my favorites that you've made so far and the rest of the cast looks like they could be even better!

Homestuck has always interested me, but I'm in this weird state where I don't have the time to check it out for myself and I'm too late for the party for me to go on about it without someone being all "Dude, that shit's pretty old." Regardless, this was a nice introduction to this specific character, and it definitely has further expanded my interest in the source. Concerning Tom and Matt, as you said in the description, I'd say go with the former option as you'll be able to avoid confusion with any subscribers. TBF, I haven't uploaded any Lawl moveset videos (even though I am currently working on one) so I'm not sure how it will go down exactly, but that's just my two cents.

My recommendation on Homestuck- make sure you set aside some time for it cause it's pretty long- it took me a week to catch up to it 3 summers ago. Theres also Let's Read Homestuck on KZbin, although it's incomplete. Good luck on your own video movesets!

These movesets are always so creative because they don't need to be limited to a game engine, so you can have stuff like an IQ system and unique animations for Final Smash effects. This does a really good job at staying true to Karkat while also being a really versatile character.
