Looks like Strong Bad's gonna have to jump into a new moveset! Meet Dangeresque, the private eye, crooked cop, secret agent and celebrity pharmacist who fights the crime AND the law! With the help of his partners and his knack for cool stunts, this echo fighter loves to play dangerous!

I could gush about the moveset, sure. I could gush about the animation, sure. But no. I am going to gush about the lore. Dangeresque 4 was HILARIOUS. From Stephen Quire arguing and about to fight Strong Bat to Mavilda being shoved down a roof to Strong Sad being John's stunt double to everyone watching. That was AMAZING and that alone would've made that whole video worth it. It was animated beautifully, was in character, and was hilarious. Props to you man

I barely know anything about Homestar Runner but I loved all the moves you and Plums gave Dangeresque, especially his Side B where he places a deadass car onstage. Also, I could gush all day about the lore segments. I don't know how you're able to cleverly layout everything, like what each character says and the plot without making it look too jarring or scuffed. Btw loved Dangeresque "4 Real This Time!" would absolutely watch again. Fantastic job on the moveset to both you and Plums!

Jeezums, I almost forgot they were an *echo* fighter for a second. The amount of effort put into differentiating Dangeresque is absolutely amazing. Personal favorite is the final smash, having your opponent be the stunt double is honestly damn hilarious for a finishing blow. Side special also pretty damn cool, giving you the choice of either riding on top for potentially more damage or as a simple platform to potentially extend combos. The whole movie bit after the set is also hysterical, you're really damn good at giving new context with existing lines and jokes from the source materials. Both you and Plums should be proud, amazing work!

Once in a blue moon, a moveset comes that impresses me so much I have to comment on it. Congratulations to Plums for crafting up such a great moveset, which represents so many elements of Dangereque's iconic movies in such creative ways. I love the way Stunt Double is worked into some of the sets, as well as how Final Smash is implemented. I don't care much about playstyles but it really stands out while watching this moveset, without being overly complicated. The ending movie however. I love everything about it. How all the characters interact, how plot is comprehensible with all the constructions, as well as the animated cameos from Szechuan Steve and Stingy Relenque. The damn car chase was especially hilarious. Just all around great piece of lore that doesn't take itself seriously. Most impressive.

Okay. This was worth the wait. The Moveset was cool, thanks Plums, but what really made this video special was just seeing the general interactions between the entire cast as they recreated Dangeresque 4 Real This Time, and then watched it. And overall, it was really nice and what truly made this video special. Also like the art you snuck into the background too.

What a fun echo fighter idea, and the moveset equally delivered! Despite the character literally being Strong Bad in a costume (does that make him the Dr. Mario of Beatdown?), the moveset was fairly unique and it really fit the "low budget blockbuster" vibe from the shorts that it's based on. Seeing stuff from the TellTale game and the puppet shorts recreated in 2D was awesome! And the movie at the end was 10/10 the first movie to sell 1 trillion tickets

I've now only realised how much I love when an Echo Fighter has moves that are similar to their counterpart but different enough. Dangeresque's sidekicks are enough to prove this! Also, I always love it when we get to see the beatdown mansion interact with eachother. Seriously, I'd genuinely love just some kind of series of the daily activities they get up to. It's my favorite part of the classic mode too- seeing all the victory quotes Edd/Eduardo had to say were great! Also, I loved the little references you had with Bubs. It makes all the Lawls feel really connected and I love that. Overall, great work to everyone involved. I'm just getting into Homestar Runner but I still loved this!

oh..my..GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD this is amazing! 1st off, amazing thanks to plums (who is also a great person. Count this comment as a one for both of you two) and 2nd off..when a moveset has me chuckling during the whole thing, that's when you know you have a masterpiece! For me, Dangeresque is a character I would totally see me picking up and easily maining (and being honest, also prefer over the guys he's echoing)! He's also so accurate to the source, up to the point of taking from the game which I really do appreciate you doing as it added more where it was needed. Out of the whole set though, side B was honestly my favorite for how genius of a concept it is (especially how you have to stay on the roof as I can see some good ways to set thing up with it) and god was I funny seeing him switch to strong sa-I mean the stun double, as it adds more flavor and had me laughing the most in this vid. 2 things not related to him that I also loved where how onion bubs take bub's place on the stage with encores cameo and that you went back and redid/cropped strong bad's victory..it just warms my heart to see that. And that ending.. you pretty much made the actual Dangeresque 4 ÷ 2 = 6 right here and I love that!! Just as much work was clearly put there as the set itself. (Oh and Mr frog in the intro was just perfect man!) You never fail to amaze me shadbad and you probably never will with great work like this! Best of luck on the next video.

That was a real Dangeresque move to put in so much effort into an echo fighter like this, but it payed off big time. While he has much of the spirit of Strong Bad in him, and his moveset, he archives his goals in a completely different way via a ton of different means. Overall another box office smash, keep up the good work, and have a great day.

This was 100% worth waiting for! Dangeresque was perfect at Echoing Strong Bads moves, while still being very unique and well made in his own right! I think every move felt like Dangeresque was re-enacting his movies against his opponents, and I think he represents everything about his movies perfectly. (His weapon, his Side characters, his car chase scenes, him always having to Jump and the Stunt double, SPECIALLY the Stunt Double, since It was a genius call to make his Stunt Double be the one to take the heavy blows or losses, quite litterally) And the ending movie + lore was absolutely amazing! Great work, and this was a very welcome surprise, and I’m glad you and Plums were able to make this set as great as it is! I’m excited for future Lawl Beatdown content as always!

Really love this Echo. Solid set, amazing piece of lore that isn't all that serious at the end... I found that final smash especially creative and hilarious with how it was executed. I also really like that lore segment at the end, things like Matilda being thrown out the window, Stephan arguing on camera, or Coazh Z being shot with actual gun got me. I don't know what else to say, it's just a really solid, light-hearted set to refresh us before the more serious stuff probably comes later.

I BET MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WILL SEE IT dumbass references aside, the moveset was really great! the incredibly high risk reward moveset for someone as dangerous as dangeresque is really fitting! the specials also help with this! neutral b was a great way to keep the idea of the cheat without making dangeresque an assist character! side b and up b were pretty funny. just him placing an entire car and swapping out with his stunt double on the whim. really good stuff. though i do wanna know if the slow motion/stunt dive can snap to ledge down b was also a pretty dangeresque movw. definitely the one that characterizes him best, since it's literally about gettimg in their faces and trying to get as much damage in on them before they can potentially retaliate and the final smash. not only was the concept just mad funny, but the seperate and riskier option when no one is nearby makes it a lot more interesting and cool! finally the lore, which was my favorite part! the fact you created a whole ass dangeresque movie, staring the beatdown characters, was really awesome and definitely worth the effort put into it! all in all, very great moveset, and an even very greater video! it's truly... dangeresque!

That was ridiculous! I loved it! Out of all the Echo Fighters so far, Dangeresque might be my main, even though he's the only one whose source material I've not seen. (Don't get me wrong, I know Homestar for sure. Just never seen the Dangeresque stuff) I look forward to the next moveset. I have a feeling it's gonna be the Gems, but I'm hoping for Ruby.

Another high-quality moveset video, dude! The story-driven scenes bookending it were particularly humorous! Miss Mavilda getting a black-eye from being the stunt double was a neat little detail! Hope you continue to surprise us with your flexible schedule in the future... I'm most interested in how you manage your upcoming 3-way tag team move-set (or just a 3-movesets-in-1) of The Crystal Gems (teased since 2018). Although I do understand that it takes quite a while to come up with viable movesets for such a group. (ThatCheesyBastard's Ed, Edd n Eddy movesets were another example.)

Didn't expect to be correct but here we are! Dangeresque's moveset was pretty interesting to watch. Compared to Strong Bad who utilized traps and an assist character, Dangeresque seemed like a combo character mixed with risk-reward. The moves were pretty funny, I have never watched Homestar Runner before, but I think the moves were going for a low-budget feel which I did felt. The Up B in particular was pretty funny, and the fact that the final smash quite literally is just using the opponent as Dangeresque's stunt double was hilarious. I also noticed that you included hit effects in the movesets now, which I really like, since it really sells the impact of the moves. And then there are the taunts and the victory screens. I don't have much to say on them, they were pretty alright (btw does Strong Bad and Dangeresque share the "sounds Dangeresque" taunt or is that relegated to Dangeresque, and Strong Bad himself is getting a new taunt?) I really like the improved victory screen Strong Bad had. Comparing it to the original, it's like night and day. And then the ending cinematic with the actual movie Strong Bad made. I really like how, even with the entirety of the Beatdown mansion pitching in to help Strong Bad with the movie with props and stuff, the movie itself was still obviously low budget. All in all, I loved watching this moveset, and I will be patiently waiting for the next moveset.
